I initially had high hopes when I retained Attorney Egan to handle an eviction case. At the beginning, he was extremely attentive and quick to respond, which gave me confidence. I even referred him to two friends. However, my experience took a disappointing turn. Attorney Egans communication suddenly went dark. He stopped responding to my emails, phone calls, and text messages, leaving me in the lurch. It took a many emails and calls before a response spanning over a considerable amount of time. I received a last-minute phone call the evening before the trial, asking me to be available via phone at 10 am the next day. During the mediation, he failed to negotiate terms acceptable to me and abruptly wanted me to go to the courthouse. I didn’t know he would even possibly need me there and I had other commitments where I couldn’t physically get there. If I had known in advance there was a possibility, I would have made sure I was available. In the end, I had to settle for terms I was not satisfied with, giving the tenants until January to move. He left me with vague arrangements about back rent and October rent that I still have not received nor do I know how the tenants are supposed to pay. Despite multiple emails and a text message, I haven't heard from Attorney Egan since the court date.
