If you're a working adult and want to take classes then have a look at night classes at the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA). If you're out of high school and plan to live with friends or your parents then you can't beat the convenience of a local campus. Online classes aren't for everyone, so consider UAA for the traditional higher education experience.

I wish the University Center was located on main campus, but space is an issue around UAA. Checkout the new buildings on campus and some of the upgrades to the older buildings. During the summer this campus looks beautiful with all the flowers. Sadly finding food on campus is nearly impossible, so bring your lunch and relax at one of the many picnic tables.

UAA Planetarium has superb presentations, and tonight was another example of two of the best! "Habitat Earth" and "A Place Like No Other". Suitable for literally all ages.

Pricing is so reasonable, too! Joining as a member (about $100) gives you up to 4 tickets to any show at no additional fees. A little mental math will prove the value of membership.

Worst college ever. I wouldn't even consider coming here.
They're super disorganized, you have to pay for parking EVERYWHERE (and it's not cheap). The staff and professors I have met are not only unprofessional but they are unattentive. They will not respond to your emails for weeks or even a month sometimes and you have to find everything and do everything yourself.

Horrible University, especially the aviation program. They’ll do anything they can to get money out of you and make sure you hardly ever fly. They do not care at all about student success. Just ask students who enroll how many finish and actually become professional pilots. It’s very little. The director, Cremer, is an awful human being and should be fired, along with all the other administrators and flight instructors. It’s a shame because some of the part time professors are awesome. I did end up with a degree from this school, but overall it’s poorly run and nothing even close to a quality institution of higher learning.

My favorite building on campus. It's lame that students have to pay for parking when we already pay crazy tuition fees. The new stock ticker LED banner is cool, though.

Literally the worst university in the US, and it’s not even close.
