In 2017 I sold my home in San Diego and used Fidelity National so with a good past experience I showed up at 2:30 pm to sign for the sale of my Fort Myers property.Introducing Fidelity Karen Brenda McLeod who decided to play games with me by telling me that she was waiting on accounting for approval that is until I showed up at their offices in full regalia screaming at the top of my lungs BRENDA I WANT MY MONEY. Only when I called Lee County Sheriff department did Fidelity Karen came with the wire confirmation that had been sent before their offices opened.

To err is human, but how one (in this case Fidelity National Title) deals with mistakes can make all the difference. In the case of my company, a Real Estate Brokerage, their absolute lack of care almost cost our client their dream home and us the business. What happened? Not the lender nor the insurance demanded a survey, but Fidelity National Title did. However, the person in charge at their office forgot to order it. With a week to go before closing, I found that the survey had never been ordered, but was told they still needed it to proceed. The person who made the mistake in the first place had been let go since, but nobody else picked up the slack. What is worse, upon my request to see if and when that survey can be completed in order to go ahead with closing the deal, there was no apology, there was a lot of not caring, being impertinent, and telling me that they were unable to get in contact with the surveyors they had chosen to work with. Their behavior was extremely unprofessional, communication was basically non-existent, information had to be dragged out of them, and to tell a client (me) that you are unable to reach a company you work with in the year 2021 is unacceptable.

I have been working with Fidelity National Title for a long time and there is a reason for it. I know I can trust their work and title search and I do get fast response to my emails and phone calls. Fidelity National Title keeps it professional even in difficult situations and is eager to work on solutions. Assistance is always available whether you need condo/HOA docs, seller/buyer quotes, farming support for listings or other additional marketing ideas/connections as well as education.

This company does not follow customer directions and then when you question them they have nothing but excuses. They won’t give you a chance to ask questions and continually talk over you. When they don’t like what you ask or question they hang up on you. Very poor custom skills and service.
