Very pleased with Stephanie and Vanessa at Modern Law. They were very responsive and accountable in following through and meeting my expectations (which were very high). The entire law firm appears to be put together so as to function as a well oiled machine. I was assigned an in house “advocate”, Kerri, (without additional charge) who answered any questions I had about internal processes (billing, etc) and routinely checked in on me. I was impressed at how this helped my experience of the firm to go even smoother. Thank you!

I am so happy with my experience. As a single mom struggling through a divorce, I consulted with them when the whole process started 5 years ago. I didn’t have any money or way to pay and ultimately ended up going at it alone, while my ex hired an attorney after we agreed not to. I got the short end of the stick and had been paying for it ever since. When an agreement to modify child support and parenting time was needed I knew I needed to have representation so I could avoid being steam rolled again. I knew who I would go with because of the staffs response and knowledge.

I worked with mainly with Paralegal Jenifer Bone and my Lawyer Chris Torrenzano. I was heard and my suggestions for dealing with my ex and his lawyer were heard and not pushed aside. I truly felt like it was a collaboration to get what I wanted. Jenifer was very attentive and always available via a quick phone call or an email.

As the final offer was sent to my ex I mentioned that it was my birthday and maybe I’ll get a nice present and he will agree to my terms. Within an hour of sending that I got a knock on my door and cookies delivered from my team. I felt cared about in that moment and it was absolutely amazing. Chris was knowledgeable and didn’t sugar coat and gave me real options and possible outcomes when it came to offers and counter offers during negotiations.

They were willing to work within my budget constraints and as anyone going through a divorce knows it can be an expensive battle even if one side is trying to be reasonable. There was no push to go before a judge, though my case was strong and we felt confident, working within my budget was a high priority so the goal was to settle before a hearing was needed. I am grateful for Billie and her whole staff at Modern Law.
I highly recommend them.
