I waited to write this review to ensure I was approaching it from a levelheaded perspective rather than frustration or emotion. However, after reflecting on my experience, I feel compelled to share it so that others can avoid making the same mistake I did in hiring this law firm for my custody case.

My attorney, Lisa Stewart, provided an overall poor experience marked by inconsistent and contradictory communication. I frequently had to follow up multiple times just to get basic updates, and important details often changed depending on who I spoke with. Instead of feeling supported during such a critical legal process, I found myself increasingly anxious and uncertain—something I do not typically struggle with.

One person who did make an effort was my paralegal, Makenzie. She tried her best to keep communication flowing, but it was clear that her hands were frequently tied. Too often, I found myself having to facilitate communication that should have come from my attorney, or worse, trying to make sense of Lisa Stewart’s lack of responsiveness altogether.

Billing was another major concern. While the original invoices were itemized, they were extremely vague, making it difficult to determine what I was actually being charged for. As a result, I formally disputed several charges and was credited back a portion of the costs. However, despite this adjustment, I never received a properly itemized explanation for the credits, leaving me with no way to verify whether they were accurate or fair.

Due to these ongoing issues, I formally requested the firm to withdraw from my case on February 19, 2025. By the time I transitioned to new legal representation, I realized just how unprepared my case had been. Critical evidence had not been properly gathered, discovery was incomplete, and trial preparation was severely lacking. I was essentially left with nothing but my initial paperwork and a court date. When I hired a new attorney, the difference was immediate and drastic—clear communication, thorough preparation, and a structured approach that ultimately led to the outcome I was seeking.

If you are looking for legal representation that is transparent, organized, and truly invested in your case, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere. This firm not only made an already stressful situation worse, but they also left me without the proper foundation to succeed in my case. Hiring the right attorney made all the difference for me—unfortunately, Lisa Stewart and this firm were not it.
