Child Protective Services - Scottsburg, Indiana

This specific location is garbage. I have spoke to hundreds of case managers and DCS state employees and have never had the experience with them as I have had with the location in Scottsburg. One specific case manager in there, is very mediocre and displays zero empathy and shows her impatience with families. Really wished I would’ve asked for a different case manager. The entire staff needs a reality check and apparently needs to reread their employee handbook about customer service with families especially when there is legitimate concern.

explain to me why this office literally cannot take a kid who is actually being abused/neglected but will take kids from loving homes.

None of them are competent enough of a person to be doing the type of jobs they are supposed to be doing at all there are probably a few decent one's but for the most part I have not met but possibly a couple but not 100 percent sure because I didn't have to talk to them but only once

These people harm kids not help them. Nobody has ever been prosecuted for false reports from this CPS. Amy needs to do her job or leave. She never shows up to the office. She's almost 100% being paid for sitting at her house. She is a joke.

I interviewed for a position here. They seemed friendly enough, but I imagine my answers were too tough for them as I don't agree parents that mess up or are drugs and don't work everyday to improve their situation should ever get their kids back. I think I was a tad too real and too honest for them.

My case worker literally blocked me because I called her at least 3 times a day just trying to get ahold of her for IMPORTANT REASONS. So, yeah. This whole place is a joke. The person I had before her AT LEAST texted back, but had the crappiest attitude. They do not care about the kids, I promise you.

This place is a joke. They lie and manipulate parents to the point they believe they are bad parent. There has been plenty of proof that they do this and nothing is ever done to them. They dont even deserve one star. They will twist everything you say to make you look bad in court. One worker will tell you one thing and another will something totally different. They make their own rules and the court system lets them by with it. Making this post is not going to change anything but at least I can let other people know exacly how they work. They are worthless and are NOT for the children whatsoever.
