She was helpful. She did wonders for my case she made me tough, but I will tell you a good attorney straight to the point she will help me from day one she always returned my call and if she didn’t return the call, she emailed me. It was a huge misfortune to blindingly trust this firm. Maryellen did absolutely nothing for us. Never returned calls. Once we started showing up in the office unannounced the secretary was rude and dismissive. Our last visit Maryellens dog came barking at us almost biting my mother, 14 month old and I. Most disturbing part was Maryellen did nothing to stop her dog. Also, maryellen caused us to miss our deadline. After that she dismissed our case. Please chose wisely and go to a different attorney that will help you win your case.

Not a listener by any means, a bit condescending but hey she's an attorney. Was looking for legal-guardianship information and her first example was "if the ward commits murder, you are legally liable for damages". Ended 10 min consultation with her final response as "Nobody has ever asked me that before, maybe you should find another attorney". Appreciate the honesty though, if you need someone with guardianship expertise look elsewhere.

Maryellen is straight and to the point. Quite a while ago she helped me when 2 other attorneys couldn't, even after spending thousands of dollars in fees. Make no mistake, she will call you out if you're not straight with her, but that's because she has a job to do. She came through for me with a vengeance. I recommended Maryellen to my brother when he needed someone and she did the same for him that she had for me. Pointers for those looking at using her: have thick skin, don't bs her and do everything she asks.

A year ago l gave Mary Ellen a negative review because she said she could not help me. After spending A LOT of money on two other attorneys and a lot of heartache I have discovered that in fact Mary Ellen did & said the right thing for the situation I was in.

I also gave Mary Ellen a negative review because I took her strong personality personal rather than seeing it as her getting right to the point so that she doesn't waste my time or hers. I also learned the hard way that an attorney's personality is how they will represent you in court.

Mary Ellen is willing to put my negative review to the side & consult with me again if needed. This speaks A LOT about her!

Mary Ellen is a bad mamajama!
You better have thick skin because she doesn’t sugar coat a thing, which is how it should be! Time is of the essence, she needs what she needs when she needs it. If she questions you it’s because she has to be sure she has a case and is representing a client that is determined & honest.
She gets the job done!
I worked with her about 6 years ago. Since then I have referred friends and family and she has been able to help each of them.
I highly recommend her.

Definitely was a waste of time dealing with her. Not worth the money, not worth the time, and definitely has an attitude problem and does not have patiences. We’ve called her on multiple occasions and doesn’t respond or give call back at a timely manner and when she did answer ONCE she called us a liar when we said we called, there’s proof. She’s a joke of a lawyer, agree with another reviewer definitely felt like a number and not a person. Any lawyer that feels that it’s appropriate or a need to yell and raise their voice to someone for no reason when she’s being spoken to calmly is not a person you want to work with nor trust your case with because you will get NO WHERE. There maybe people who has had a positive experience with her but our experience was definitely negative and do not recommend nor will she be hired from us AGAIN.
