Went there on October 3rd got a quote on home and auto insurance. Took the quotes home to look over with my wife. Went back on October 4th set down with the agent went over the quotes and agreed to the policy’s, the agent wrote them up and had me e sign them, the agent printed me out cards to put in my truck and car saying the insurance would take effect on the 10th of October. I wrote the agent a check for over $2000.00 the next morning on the 5th of October I checked my bank account and the check had been cashed. At about noon on the 5th the agent calls and says the under writer would not accept the policy’s. I ask for my money back and was told Erie would have to issue me a refund. I ask when that would be and was told soon. So now I have to wait til who knows when to get my money back. Rate this agency from 1-10 a 0 if your looking for a bad experience go there. I think I’ll see what the attorney general of this state thinks about how they can write and have you sign a policy and you pay them in full for those policy’s and they give you cards to put in you autos saying the insurance would take effect on the 10th then they call you the next day after cashing your check saying the under writer won’t accept the policy’s. And they couldn’t tell me when I would receive my money back. Wouldn’t recommend Erie insurance and this agency Lewis and associates.
