Amy was our GAL and I was very impressed with her because she truly showed passion to everyone involved she made sure the only person that she truly cared about was our daughters best interest.
I highly recommend Amy as your GAL especially if your case is a high conflict. Also, would like to give a shout out to Carrie, she was so professional and nice to work with.

We were told not to contact her, that she would reach out to all parties for statements. 7 months later, she still had not contacted any of our family members, but had spoken with family members of the other party.

She did not seem to weigh the recommendation of the children’s licensed therapist of well over 6 months.

Accusations of the other party were treated as fact, and printed in the report as such, while real issues against the other party- with proof - were not given what we feel was proper weight, and omitted from the report entirely.

This case went well for us. We do not, however, attribute that to the report, money spent, or influence of Semones.

We also feel that the case could have gone much faster if Semones had been more timely. At one point, she and her family were sick for months and she was not communicative. When we finally met, she seemed to want our sympathy for her illness - which we gave - while completely disregarding the fact that his kids were being left in the care of and allowed to spend time with known drug addicts and their consorts with the children’s other parent. The safety of children absolutely must be of the highest importance.

In-office confusion involving an early billing discrepancy and changing secretaries were frustrating as well, and had us carefully photocopying receipts and going over billing statements for accuracy.

Not recommended personally, professionally, or legally, by my and my husband’s personal opinions.

Would recommend them to any and everyone. Very professional and knowledgeable. They meet you where your at and make you feel right at home. Best money spent. Never had an attorney before , but I am happy I found them. Amy and Carrie are 2 loving individuals who wants the best for you and work their hardest for you. Great team. Brittany Wilson was the worst lawyer we have ever had for anything. She was always extremely rude and very unprofessional. She charged us $1,500, just to quit because we didn’t take a deal, outside of going to court, in a custody case, that we felt was unfair. When our bills didn’t add up to the money she was suppose to refund us, she made up a new bill, adding up her supposed totals. She charged $40-$60 for a 5-10 phone call and emails. All of that money and we never even went to court one time! Save your money and find an actual attorney who will fight for you and not just take your money!
Edit: My husband and I were most definitely clients, my last name on google is just not updated! All this woman will do is take your money! Look through other reviews, not just mine, they speak for themselves. Amy has excellent reviews, but Brittany obviously needs to find a new profession!

Mrs Semones was the GAL in my court appointed custody case because no one else was available at the time.
I posted this 1 time previously, but I was asked to take it down through another party. So she doesn’t believe in fair reviews either. She dragged the case out for another year consistently rescheduling not communicating with references and not asking me real questions except for when I was blamed for something. This whole process was me defending myself from the same exact accusations that CPS cleared. She didn’t bother looking into that. Everything she had problems with was in fact by there instruction. She also “pandered” (telling someone 1 thing and meaning another… is illegal). And yes I have a witness. As a lawyer she knows that. She claimed to be truthful and transparent but in my experience she is not. She lies through omission, believes lies of that were fabricated, and lies that were minimized. Allows lies of exaggeration without due process or explanation from accused party. She rules based on her own religious beliefs and trusts gaslighting as a righteous process. (When a child is 13 they can make medical choices for themselves) that’s real. She compared me to deceased siblings and told me I needed a break… She’s suppose to be an impartial lawyer not a therapist. I am my own person, not like my deceased siblings. She went to high school with one of them. I was never hospitalized or in jail for anything yet believed and accused of things she has no basis of. How can you judge off of provoked recordings and not ask questions about it? Or know when you were being played? Knowing I could provide video of the time in question (at the time)? Mrs Semones said she would follow up (the word she used was temporary) with no instruction and no action. In my opinion, this GAL is a way for like minds to be bullies. Beware… there are many choices for GAL that will serve all parties fairly (.). Because trust goes both ways. She cannot be trusted. Lastly, part of her ruling was something I freely agreed to do and she knew that.
