I was arrested in 2019 for unlawful possession of a handgun, no crime committed just had it in my truck while working for the Amish in Akron. I did no jail time except for after initial arrest. No crime pulled over for speeding, I had no criminal history at all a veteran and I they got me to agree to guilty. My record now shows that I did a year in jail and a year probation. Which I didn’t do. I did maybe six months. However when a background check is done and I just found out it says I did a year in jail and a year in probation. I did not ever commit a crime I should not have said guilty I should have went to court by myself with the amish behind me. I would never get a lawyer again especially when they can not explain anything to me properly. If I needed to get it expunged then she should have talked to me and went forward with that to end this. I’m still dealing with this because of bad representation. My guilty verdict did not help me it helped Doran’s next case. She will make deals that you do not agree on in the rooms of the court house, especially Miami county!
