If I could leave zero stars I would. I was “assigned” an attorney in May of 2022. I met with him to go over everything. Called in June after I heard nothing about how my case was going and he told me he had other cases and was pretty much behind on mine. About a month later his assistant called to get some more information from me, which I gave, and I never heard another word. Complete waste of my time.

I have tried to get help from them on two different occasions and the 1st was on a car we was sold lemon the lawyer said it was our fault even we had proof that we had warrant. The second was when was told we owe $4000 on our rent lawyer didn't put up the effort to try help he went so far as almost getting us to file for bankruptcy and we didn't have to and we would've been in more debt and then no help to the lawyer we found out that we didn't even owe the $4000 at all. Our landlord stole the rent money.

It was great, I spoke with an attorney and he was courteous, polite, and professional. He was also patient with me because he said what I was saying I needed were two different things but either way they didn't handle the kind of legal services I needed. I appreciate his time, patient and honest.

I applied for legal aid at the Covington office two months ago and have called weekly. I have made four personal visits to no avail. I have had two voicemails from the attorney there saying “call me back”.
I was told by his office staff that he is the only attorney working for legal aid in four counties and is also serving as office manager. So I know he is overwhelmed. I have left messages stating that if he would tell me a time and day I would be there because I know how busy he must be, but now there are no calls from him at all.
Recently, however, I was told by someone outside that office that there may be other reasons why I am not be contacted. I am a white, partially disabled, elderly lesbian who lives of $750 a month social security. I am aware that any combination of those defining characteristics may be reason to not want to work with me and I would bear him no ill will as that is his prerogative. Then again that might not be the situation at all. He may have worked himself to death and, if so, my prayers are with his family and loved ones.
My case is relatively simple: a no fault divorce. I cannot file myself because I own a small piece of land and house.
If there is anyone out there who can help me (or that poor over extended attorney) please reach out.

I wouldn't recommend. I was "being helped" and thought positive about it, out of nowhere the attorney does a complete 180° and starts being very negative about my case. There are better attorneys out there, find someone else!!
