My original attorney Michelle was very understanding and caring about my situation. She wanted to know about every doctor appt that I had and what took place in the doctors office.
Then all communication stopped, all of the questions that I asked and needed answers to went unanswered so, I called the law office and was told that Michelle hadn’t been with the company for a while!!!! So I was texting a number that was no longer in service!!!
I asked, “Well who is my atty now or do I even have one?”, the secretary said she would leave a message and someone would get back to me about who would be handling my case.
In the meantime I had another appt with the workers comp doctor.
When I went to see this doctor, he had someone else’s file and was diagnosing me as if I was that person, I told him I was not that person and he has the wrong file, we argued back and forth about this for about a half an hour, until he looked again, said something to the assistant, then she left and came back with MY file!!
I ended up having a heart attack in this drs office from arguing with him!!! I called AGAIN to the law office as I was walking out of this drs office,and was so eloquently told that I was getting upset for nothing, because he’s not my Dr!

I was contacted by the new atty and basically was met with the same attitude. He said they (the courts) don’t care that I had a heart attack, they only care about the work related injury, and if this doctor says your hurt, you must be really hurt!
I was flabbergasted that he said that to me,because as my atty I thought it was your job to make them care, and what do you mean I must really be hurt?!?! I’ve had multiple MRIs that showed what was wrong with me but whatever.

These attys know that the insurance company likes to play games, especially when it comes to paying ppl what they are owed. Every 2 wks is just that every 2 wks, not 3 wks or when they receive a call about it!
Unfortunately that’s not how it works, they will tell you to go by the date on the check and count 2 wks, and I did that, but no these checks were not issued that way either!
Even when I made mention of it, they made me feel like I didn’t know what I was talking about!
Even though my bank specifically shows how much money was deposited into my account every month, and I had proof from my bank, I was still wrong!

March 21 finalized everything and it’s finally over…yet here it is 3 wks later, and I have not gotten my very last check, or the settlement check, even though I contacted the law office last wk to inquire about how this check is being sent, I was told last wk that it was mailed to my home and I will receive it this week!!!
Surprise, surprise, still nothing!
Maybe this law firm just dropped the ball with me, I don’t know, but what I do know is that I won’t be recommending this firm to anyone that I know.

I have to say this whole process was stressful, but to have such a diligent team was so helpful. Martin was always willing to address any questions or concerns I had and patient when explaining anything I didn’t understand. Martin and his staff were always polite, kind and understanding of my situation anytime I spoke with them. I followed everything I was told to do and in doing so made everything so much smoother. Communication was a little rough at the beginning, but to no fault of their own. After there was a clear line of communication, I would get regular updates on my case via phone calls and text. If I called and left a message I would get a response either same day or the next. Reminders for appointments were also sent by text and super helpful. I can’t thank them enough for how much they helped me through one of the most difficult times in my life.
