Worst experience ever! Went to enroll in a course and upon registration they didn’t know what classes to put me in. I wasn’t notified I would have to pay $60 dollars for a parking pass upon registration. My class schedule was changed three times and I still was put in a course that I didn’t need to be in.They had me taking online class which I knew nothing about and I hate online classes and to make matters worse I was taking college classes with high school students from a alternative high school. We started work late do the high school kids not being on time which made me no longer interested in going.

Truck driving academy could’ve went better for me but my original instructor Ray Mays sucked ! He was extremely lazy and did not teach , which really negatively effected my experience with LIT Beaumont Trucking academy. Shout out to instructor Joe Stanley for coming through for me , taking your time to teach me everything I needed to know to get my cdl without any restrictions! I couldn’t have done it without you .. seriously!! šŸ’ŖšŸ½šŸ©·

Paid 3000$ cash for truck driver training and discovered that they only had automatic transmission trucks and there would be a restriction on your license. There was no disclosure of the truck status either at registration or in the class information. The class was delayed twice after I moved to the area which cost additional money. When I showed up early for class I was told the trucks were all automatic and the instructor apologized and said that fact should have been disclosed. I left before class started because a license restriction served no practical purpose. When I tried to get a refund I was told by Kathleen Hawsey that I had attended class and was not entitled to a refund. I could return and take the class but I have moved from the area. This entire incident was deceptive and dishonest and clearly these bureaucrats are greedy and completely mercenary. They stole my hard earned money. I don't have the resources to get a lawyer and I was forced to complete a arbitration agreement and of course the arbitrator would be an advocate for the college...a complete and well thought out scam. After over a year, numerous attempts to get a refund, letters to the president of both colleges, I am still waiting. These people have kept my money for over a year. Do not go to truck driving school here. Go to Harris County College or Shreveport but don't take a chance here.

They are just trying to take your money. I enrolled, but did not attend back in 2010. I found out they had me in collections recently and called. They have record showing I did not attend, and said the fees were from a collection agency and they couldn't reduce the amount. The collection agency said they don't profit off of school loans and the school set the amount! They want me to pay them $1400 in tuition and $600 in "fees" for a full semester that I didn't even attend and they have record showing such!

You get what you pay for. It is moderately priced. The instructors care about the students. The only issues I've had seem to be the outright abysmal communication coming from the administration when the COVID-19 mess began and the string of hurricanes that were dancing around the Gulf this year. Regardless of where you go for an education, what you get out of it is determined by what you put in.

The school is unorganized and staff don’t know there policy. I enrolled for classes and I didn’t want to attend if I didn’t get Financial aid. I told the financial advisor that. A couple of days later no funds came through but it did at Lamar orange. I told the advisor to drop me from the class and they said it was OK.

But then a year later I get a bill for $700. I never attended the classes.
