I hired JW for my child custody case. I originally thought he would do a good job and fight the case. In the 5 months I had him represent me I learned quickly he is not a good attorney. He did not notify me of a change in court rooms or court communications what so ever for my hearing and therefore I was in wrong place for hearing as well as he was 45 minutes late missing hearing costing me to lose custody. He did nothing to advance my case at all, no letters to keep me informed unlike any other attorney I had or to execute any needed case actions such as filing motions, etc. In the end I lost custody and all I was given was excuses and blame on everyone except himself. I would not recommend this attorney to anyone in a custody case from my experience. I paid this guy to lose my case basically costing me my custody and paying full child support.

In July 0f 2018 I contacted JW Eddy to represent me in a criminal case at first he seemed to be very forthcoming, reasonable with his pricing and honest when it came time for my hearing he was late and told me to sign all the papers in front of me the bail was all arranged with DJ Haggerty ,SO trusting my attorney I signed off on all my rights and made a plea bargin where i would have unsecured bail with an ankle monitor until formal sentencing all this because i wanted to spend time with my mom who had stage 4 cancer, i was returned to FCP and waited to be released this NEVER happened because there was no arrangement with DJ Haggerty and because JW Eddy was in such a hurry to get to his next hearing , he left before i had even signed the documents? Anyhow he informed me 4 days later that there had been a miss communication and there was NOTHING he could do and for the record he had NEVER in ALL his years being an attorney had he EVER experienced a person the whole Fayette county prosecutors office HATED as much as me? After this he refused all of my attempts to contact him. To say i was disappointed was an understatement!!! in him and his ethics! I would never recommend him for anything that your freedom depends on , for simple tasks sure.

I was in a bad spot with buying my home. Eddy assured me that he would be able to help,and took care of everything for me. Excellent service very affordable would recommend.
