In 2019 my son fell victim to medical malpractice at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). A surgeon's negligence resulted in a debilitating stroke with right sided paralysis, speech aphasia and bowel/urinary incontinence. He spent months in rehabilitation. Further, this action completely destroyed his life. He was essentially an invalid. My wife and I had to provide for his every need. He lost his dignity and our hearts were crushed. Fear and grief were constant companions. The surgeon's error also deprived him from receiving necessary treatment which likely would have saved his life but sadly my son did not survive his disease. This entire ordeal lasted almost four years.
