Our dad passed away unexpectedly in August 2023. When trying to contact the lawyer who did his will, we found out the lawyer was retired, and no one knew where my dad's legal will was. No forwarding information was provided. Somehow, we were able to find Janice's name on a file. We contacted her and explained the situation. She said we were not the first ones to contact her-others were in the same situation. Janice was able to meet with us within 3 days of contacting her and was willing to help us with the will and probate of dad's estate. She was very accommodating and thorough in everything she did for us on such short notice. The executor of the estate lives in North Carolina and Janice was able to provide him with all information through email or phone that she needed to file and finalize the probate and estate. We cannot thank her enough for helping our family through this difficult time. Highly recommend her-very nice and great to work with!

Retaining Janice Patz as my lawyer was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I had a very complicated situation dealing with a Trust agreement which I knew nothing about. Janice asked for a couple of thousand dollars up front which I was happy to give her trusting what she said she could do for me regarding an estate of a family member. But, she literally read a couple of letters for me and answered one and never did anything else. I got a very tiny portion of the estate and she was nowhere to be found and was very unsupportive. When I asked her for some of the retainer back she said she was going to create a new bill for me and that I would owe her more money. We never had any other communication after that.
