I liked Johnnie from day one. 2021 I took my son to a consultation with the intent to gain custody of his daughter. She basically told him he needed to have his ducks in a row cause when she go to court she go to win and that’s what I wanted to hear. Unfortunately, months after that consultation my son was shot and killed so I took over and asked for temporary custody after our lost. Here it is 2023, today I was awarded full custody of my granddaughter. Jonhnnie had no worries about losing the case as she told me I got you. If you want a good attorney that don’t play Johnnie is the one. Make sure all your ducks is in a row, be honest and she’ll do the rest.

Mrs. Johnnie as she likes to be called will tell you what sounds good in order to get a large retainer then its downhill if the case isn't closed in six months. She will forget what she told you in order to get your money. Then forget to file motions, return phone calls blames her office for not getting messages. She has many times withdrawn from a case never to give an update on where or what is going. I had to get an attorney just to make her turn over my case file. The case file is legally the yours the client.
She refuses to refund a 20 thousand cash only retainer that was unused. Originally a 5 thousand retainer was paid making a total of twenty five thousand. She refuses to give a detailed bill. Mrs. Johnnie still hasn't turned over the complete case file. When her office manager Diane quit the office fell apart. We currently have an appeal with the state bar to get a detailed bill and money back that she refuses to refund. Don't be afraid to report this office if you have been taken advantage of or wronged You have 6 years from the day of service to report. When attorneys ask for cash its a red flag run! My case is one of many. Thank you for reading I pray this will help someone.

I would never recommend hiring this firm. It was the worst experience I could imagine, in an already difficult time. I hired them for a divorce/custody case and Johnnie barely listened to a word I had to say and was more interested in pulling up Facebook and talking about how good looking my ex husband was. Extremely unprofessional to say the least. They came up with an agreed order with the opposing counsel without ever even SPEAKING to me. An order I did not at all agree with, nonetheless. I was unable to attend our first mediation appointment and contacted them to let them know that I was sick. Instead of rescheduling or coming to any kind of agreement that would be suitable for both parties, they billed me for the entire mediation and set the case for trial. I paid $3000 to have NO HELP or actual legal counsel and would have been better off handling on my own. They refuse to give a refund and have even taken on a client that is a complete conflict of interest directly with my case and are now representing her. She has stated that they have told her things from my case, so if you want attorney client privilege this is obviously not something they take serious at this firm. I am having to hire another attorney, not only to help with my current divorce/custody case but also to go after them for all of the unethical and illegal behavior they have committed. A nightmare to say the least! Don’t do it.

Just have to say hands down she did not disappoint.. the first day I met her as a mother I was honest with her and told what I needed to happen for the best she said I got you with a little worry in the back of my mind I liked her straight forward honesty even if I didn’t want to hear it she never misled me and prepared me for the possibility and reality but also assured me that she had me and for that I appreciate and respect her .. so much her not backing down and sticking to her word and going to battle for me just as she said she would .. gave me the most blessed day of my life .. the weight/fear lifted completely off my chest! Thank you johnnie I hope you never change .. as a lawyer or person.. I would choose her again she stuck to her word and very professional I would choose her in a heartbeat ❤️

I was represented by Johnnie Woodruff. And let me tell you she didn’t disappoint!! She handled business! And explained every step of the way about why she did what she did!! I hired Mrs. Woodruff as my attorney in a custody case. She is right about alot of things. She is a great person. I recommend her 1000%! She does tell the truth and she does want to help. She has more than one case at a time so just be patient. I recommend her she is a very good attorney. She will help you if you listen to her. She is amazing .She knows what she is doing and anyone who needs her help she will do her best to do it. She is there for the well being of the child. She will fight for whatever you want as long as your in the right. I now have joint custody of my son and have my visitation rights.
