Steven is a Joke he will tell you anything to get your money. I told him i couldn`t pay the retainer in full that i would make payments he said ok, took my case on with a short notice and told me he would have papers ready to take to court cause he wasnt gonna make it. Then the day of court had no papers ready and told me if the judge had any question to have him call me? like i know the judge like that to say here call my lawyer Never filed anything just talked to me twice for a total of 30min and it cost me 1000$....This guy is a Joke cares nothing for family law.

All he did was get discovery that I could have filed for and got on my own. Left my girlfriend sitting in jail for 10 days without so much as a phone call to her. This guy gives lawyers a bad rep. In my opinion. I will never hire another one I don’t care the charge. I could Go in and rep self, get the max and would be better off. At least I would have my money.

Had I known what I know now about this so-called "attorney" , I would not have thrown away a thousand dollars on NOTHING.
My advice is DO NOT retain him...for ANYTHING.
Frankly, and as a well-considered personal opinion, don't know how he gets away with taking people the way he "took" me..
I am considering filing a complaint with the S.C. Bar association.
If I could give him LESS than one star (if even that) , I would.
In his dealings with me (and likewise, supposedly on my behalf), I personally see NO evidence that he has demonstrated either honor, initiative, or even basic ability.
I am out a thousand dollars and am forced to start from scratch. This time I'm going get my recommendations from the Bar Association itself.
I suggest anybody who needs a true and HONEST advocate do that also.

Steven is great! Not only did he give me free advice over the phone prior to hiring him, he allows me to text back-and-forth given my very busy lifestyle. He was on my side from the very beginning and stuck up for me which I appreciate very much. Five stars!

A Public attorney can do better. He tells you one price then in the end. The price is thousands higher than what it originally was. Pretty much take your money elsewhere. There plenty of lawyers out there that actually will fight for you.
