I hired Scott McWilliams to sue my landlord who refused to return my damage deposit. He charged me almost $1,000. just to write a letter to my landlord! Pretty outrageous! I would certainly NOT recommend using him. He charged $97.50 just to open the file. Another $75. to read the documents I gave him. For drafting the letter he charged $325.00!!!! Another $50. for a short phone conversation with me. Charged another $50. just to review the tracking information I gave him! For reading one email $32.50. Another $65. to read an email and dictate a response. Another $100. to read an email and answer a couple of questions. Another $130. just to read an email from me that I wanted to end our business relationship. These are outrageous amounts that are far higher than they should be.

We hired Scott McWilliams to represent us in an eviction case. Lisa Boddington represented us in court and she did a good job. She was knowledgeable and gave us sound legal advice. However, the legal fees from Scott McWilliams were about 50% more than they should have been. This is based on feedback from other attorneys in the same field. My request to receive an itemized bill by email or mail was denied. Scott McWilliams personally told me that if I wanted a copy of my itemized bill that I could drive to his office to pick up.
