Stopped in the evening while in Sitka on NCL’s Jewel. What a great little spot. The staff is lovely. My snickerdoodle was yummy. I had a white chocolate peppermint mocha and my bf had a cup of coffee and a brownie. We were both very pleased. Loved this little town!

I came here specifically for a cuppa coffee, and the coffee was really tasteless. I didn’t feel like it had anybody was very weak. I would like to be fair in my review however I did not have any of the food and they look like they were baked fresh. Also, the atmosphere is nice. There’s a lot of space here to hang out.

This small cute coffee shop is in the back of the bookstore. It's pretty busy, but the coffee is made fairly quickly. Prices are actually lower than the other coffee places in the area. There is a seating area, seats about 25, but it's pretty dark, not exactly conducive to a relaxing atmosphere, but it's not bad, just there's no view. There are two entrances, back entrance has a restroom. The girls tending to this place are very nice, acknowledge you right away and quick. The coffee was tasty, apparently it's raven brews, the competing one from Heritage, and the place smells like freshly baked cookies.

This is literally a cafe at the “back door” of a book shop. And it’s a hidden gem!
You can access it via the back of the building, or through the bookstore.
The staff are all so super friendly and nice (just like all the people we met in Sitka) and the cafe is cute and has a lovely cosy feel.
Lots of indoor seating and there are a few outdoor tables/ chairs too.
The coffee was excellent- they definitely know all about their beans and how to make great espresso.
The cabinet is packed with so many delicious sweet treats, and freshly made doorstopper sandwiches too- so make sure you come with a big appetite!
A great spot for coffee or lunch.

A legit cortado. Excellent. I also got a latte which is top notch. My wife got the mocha with oat milk and their "rainforest cookie" and says they're great.
If I didn't live 1200 miles to the south this would be a regular place for me.

A hidden gem you must check out when visiting Sitka! Tucked away in the back of a cool bookstore. The staff is great and the coffee is amazing! If you can’t find it on your own ask one of the locals. You’ll be glad you did!!

Backdoor has a great vibe and even better coffee and snacks. It is a great place to take a break from exploring the town of Sitka or to read a few pages from a book you just bought at the adjoining bookstore Old Harbor Books. Lots of local people hang here so you know it is a good place.

I love coming here for morning coffee and pastries. It's always delicious. The establishment has a warm, comfortable and friendly atmosphere.
