Absolutely horrible experience. After calling with simple questions about a case I had the pleasure of speaking with "Mrs. Scott" who didn't help at all. First it was that I didn't have a case at all and that I couldn't be helped and told me that I the questions that I had were irrelevant. A second later after I prompted her to look further she finds that there is in fact a case just with DHS instead of me. (She never looked until I told her I was certain there was) She then immediately shoves me into the direction of DHS (which is fine) but after I ask a question she starts talking over me and tells me she's gonna hang up in a terrible manner. I then told Mrs Scott I'll be sure to mention this to DHS and her words were "go ahead and tell them anything you want I don't care DHS doesn't concern her"

Long story short. People who can't be bothered to do their job respectfully or at all. A joke.

Horrible, if I could give 0 stars I would in a heartbeat!! Every experience with them is horrible. They are not in favor of enforcing support against the non custodial parent, while letting the custodial parent sink and try to doggy paddle through life with the children. The women on the phone are rude and treat you like you are unintelligent, or horrible human being for even thinking of asking for the other parent to financially help with their children. Have dealt with this particular county’s system for 5+ years now, it has never changed. It’s truly sad!

This place is the absolute worst place to deal with. They hang up the phone on you, they are late with getting any of your information in! They never get it right when they finally do. I feel like this place is ran by mindless children who have some sort of vendetta! They are secretive and non transparent. Every time you call they are the rudest people in the world and never treat anyone with respect! Even for the fathers whom they purposely condemn...even the people who call who aren't paying child support and want information they never know anything. There is a woman their an African American who hates white people and never shows any kind of respect and literally laughs at them because they are upset with this folly of a program we need them to be held to standards who out there can audit this place they absolutely need it they are the continues of cycles for fatherless homes! Hence why they have a 1.6 rating!

When dealing with this office, please, Please, PLEASE, KEEP GOOD RECORDS OF YOUR ACCOUNT (S). My Ex husband was paid the 1200.00 (Stimulus check) my caseworker told me that it was supposed to have came for our children (The kids lives with me). Long story SHORTER= Our children never received the money, LATER I was told it went to the state. BUT, BUT, I guess she, they, had forgotten that two months before then, I had received information stating that " HE WAS ALL CAUGHT/PAID UP WITH THE STATE. There is more to my situation, but I will not take up too much of your time. But please keep up with EVERYTHING, Court dates, times etc, etc. Do I believe that they are cheating people out of their monies!!!? NOT REALLY. But what I do KNOW is that, if the caseworkers would act as if it's them sitting on the receiving end, instead of the giving end, things would be a lot better. Happy New Year Guys.

If I could set it at ZERO stars it would be more fitting for this organization. As there is no instructions to life, divorce happens all to often. I was one of those guys who found themselves in the system of Friend of the court, I use the word “friend” very loosely. I first time entering this office I was neglectful received by city employees who were in interested in answering question but pointing to brochures on the wall. Numerous time working though the FOC system it was the feeling from everyone being a male is the problem? I had no concern paying support nor following the court orders that that deal, it was the manner on how my children’s mother would go out of her way to create drama and then eventually leaving the country with OUR children is how this agency continued to to address my concerns were all made up. I guess finally seeing a case worker desk simply set the tone of what friend of the court was all about when she had a picture of a man and a statement under it “ who says you can’t get blood out of a turnip.”

I figured of course the ratings would be low its a f.o.c. office. But I just called for some general information. I was polite and the lady I spoke to was extremely rude. And I have to say if friend of the court actually cared about the well being of children they wouldn't take such a large cut. If you can help it don't go through them work it out with the other parent.

Worst one yet,not only is my name wrong in their system,my credit dropped because they just collected my payments and did nothing with them.They never know what's going on when you ask them about your case. You always get someones voicemail and never a call back. Quick to tell you you're behind because they dont know where your payments are,that are directly taken out of your check!!! Terrible people!!!

Is anyone else only getting part of the child support payment even though their child's father is paying the whole thing every time? It comes out of his check but calhoun county is only giving me a small amount at a time and it's not even on the same day every 2 weeks. It makes me feel sad for the parents who count on that money for their child. They used to be the full payments on time every 2 weeks but over the past 6 months they have only been giving me a small portion at a time. It's frustrating.
