I signed in October 2020 up with Credit Zap through another company because that who they were affiliated. I was promised that Credit Zap will look into my case once I signed up and they will help with my credit from one particular company. My credit took a dive from this one company reporting negative items. Therefore, I have called Credit Zap several times why they are not on top of my case and was told each time that someone will call me back. It is now April 2021. So, I emailed stating my situation and if someone can look into my case. All I got back as a response to my email was "Ma'am can I please have your name?" I responded and no follow up. This is how Credit Zap handles new clients? I would not recommend credit zap to anyone.

Instead, I used to use Lexington Law and they removed all my negative items. Someone always answers and gets back to you at Lexington Law. Most importantly, Lexington Law will do what they are supposed to do, help you fix your credit with all three bureaus. I highly recommend Lexington law. Credit Zap is such a huge disappointment and caused me nothing but frustration.

A big thank you to Michael Gill and his team for fixing a complex mess when my my credit was decimated by multiple false (fraudulent) collection items and address records that were not mine My credit score dropped over 200 points! Michael and team investigated across all of the collection companies and bureaus involved to figure out what happened, and repaired and restored my credit. Moreover they restored my peace of mind. Thank you!

Update 12/11/2020 - I signed up with CreditZap NOVEMBER 2019. Additionally I did not lose my job during the pandemic THANK GOD but it’s sad that this business would even attempt use job loss during a pandemic is something demeaning. I wrote my review when I cancelled service and updated to include the quotes from Mr. Gill listed below.

Today - 12/11/20 CreditZap replies to my review without facts and accusing me of being a scammer? Please please lease read my review and the reviews of others BEFORE utilizing this company. It is NOT worth your time, money or energy.

CreditZap comes across as a legit business. As a new customer you will submit forms electronically and even be able to speak/email a live person however what is actually occurring if anything will be kept a secret. I paid for CreditZap for 4 months totaling $400 and I feel as though I was scammed. I did not receive an update on my customer profile until AFTER emailed and emailed and emailed. A few “successes” were dropped in my profile however these were not evident when I pulsed my own credit report. I received excuse after excuse from the representative in regards to why my account wasn’t updated (system changes, the system was down, the pandemic, funerals etc) but never any useful information.

Usually people don’t seek out a company like CreditZap if they have $400 to give away. It was a struggle for me to make my payment every month HOWEVER I blindly trusted the company and it’s BBB score and I shouldn’t have. If I could demand a complete refund I would for no other reason than CreditZap is a business that deals with customers’ livelihood therefore EVERYTHING should be open, honest and transparent.

After requesting some sort of update for days via email, my customer account online was suspended. How convenient? If you are in need of services similar to what CreditZap claims to offer.... Do it yourself! Check online for resources! DONT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR MONEY!

Credit Zap update/review #2

I received an email (4/14) from the Legal Team which stated I had the following options

Legal Team Email - BEGIN Quote:

"That said there is two options. Option 1 - we terminate your account in its entirety. Option 2 - we leave your account where it stands and continue our work Probono as outlined above and like it was stated previously to you by Mr. Gill. You have the right to chose which ever you like. However, if you do choose option 2. We will ask for a retraction of your review. As we are here to help everyone." END quote

Once I selected Option #1, I received a not so nice email from the owner Michael Gill which stated

Begin Quote:
"Everyone has their own outlook on what is what and how things should work. Luckily we were able to sustain your review and we are filing an injunction to have it removed by way of judicial order." END Quote

As a consumer, I utilize reviews to select businesses of which to give my hard-earned money. I expect reviews by consumers that have rebuttals from companies BUT NOT to be removed by a company because it may damage their reputation. Please be cautious of any company that does not have any negative reviews since according to Mr. Gill, Credit Zap has serviced 9,571 consumers thus far. But only 3 google reviews? And all 5 stars?

I woke up Thanksgiving morning to a drop of 150 points to my credit score. I found out someone opened up an account in my name and that the account had been charged off. I immediately called CreditZap to help me and was blown away by how fast they were able to restore my score with the credit bureaus. I highly recommend CreditZap no matter what credit issues you may have!

CreditZap has assisted me with removing the bad information off of my credit report. I am finally able to purchase items I want on credit. The team i worked with at creditzap was great. very responsive between phone calls, emails and texts they always were very prompt. I started with creditzap several months ago. when i signed up i had read the reviews and was skeptical. however there were more positive than negative. I am glad I chose to sign with this company. they have not only made several corrections on my reports but they have helped build my financial savings with several additional programs they offer. They walked me thru each step and explained everything as simply as possible. provided me with educational material in which helped me understand the process. ultimately made me part of the process. Previously I tried using Lexington Law but they were unable to accomplish anything. CreditZap did wonders. Thank you very much for all you have done.

On Monday April 5th 2021 at 730pm cst. Customer Service contact per our scheduled time slot and transferred him to my ext. upon answering I informed that all calls are monitored and recorded as did customer service. I further explained that due to the nature of this call our legal team would be actively monitoring the call in an effort to assist with this matter. Not once did they speak. In fact as I continued to review the timeline he would not allow me to speak. Instead he continuously yelled and proclaimed we weren’t doing our jobs. I informed him that in order to proceed we would need to review the time line as shows it in the complaint and then move forward with Q&A this way every aspect is covered and a remedy can be put into focus. As I again started to review the timeline he interjected about billing and continued to speak aggressively. I told the client if we can’t have a conversation we (CreditZap) would disconnect the call. He than states Gill Gill Gill. I corrected him and said I address you with respect I expect the same sir” he continued to be aggressive and then he himself disconnected the call. All of which is recorded and available for review should the BBB wish to review said call. After he disconnected the call several emails were sent out after customer service attempted to reconnect the call several times. We are more than happy to assist in this process as stated in the previous email however todo so would require his attention and respect when handling the manner. He proclaims that he can never reach me. However every email he ever sent was responded to weather by myself or by my team. We have several thousand clients I personally am unable to jump on a call with him at the snap of a finger. I have a scheduling system for calls and do my very best to accommodate other clients in need of assistance via email or text. I attempted to inform the client that his case was ready to be dismissed on 2/11/21 and 2/17/21 but the client never responded to our calls and the last step is always the inquiries but that is on the last day.

if the client wants to resolve this matter we would and are open to resolving the issue but he will need to do so in such a manner that both sides can speak. I nor my team will be yelled at or spoken to in the tone in which he did that day. Nor will we be degraded and addressed out side of our proper names.

that your saying services for free when I have receipts . So that’s a lie again a free service you can even take off hard inquiries my credit report with your so call free services. And nice to know your so quick to respond to the complaints on people that pay you hard work money. This company a joke and more that 8 reschedule calls that never came Thur till I made a complaint and call my credit card company to stop payment. On all your your fake services. You got paid so do you job
