They won a small settlement for me and then told me they needed to hold $1,000 of it just in case any other expenses came up.

I have called now 3 times to get that $1,000 back and they just keep "taking my message". It seems so petty to hold onto $1,000 of their clients' money and not respond or return a call.

Perhaps that "bigger" personal injury law firm wouldn't do this to their clients. I'll choose them next time.
