This has to be the worst office in Arkansas. The people answering phones don't even let you finish what you're trying to say. They cut you off and don't give you correct information. Obviously the supervisor doesn't care about policy and procedure. Starting contacting the director of DHS his name and number is listed in the state directory and something will get done about it. Contact Robert Williams in Little Rock or Cindy Gillespie. The area director here doesn't report everything they should they don't want them knowing how sorry this office is. Policy and procedure is listed on the state website for anyone to read. If you deal with DHS a lot it's helpful to know your rights.

THE PINE BLUFF DHS NEEDS TO BE CLOSED DOWN THERE ALL SO LAZY IN THERE HATE TO DO ANYTHING AND DINT YOU DEAR ASK THEM TO DO SOMETHING THAT HAS TO DO WITH THERE JOB TITLE THEY ARE ALL SO INCONSIDERATE & SO RUDE THEY JYST SONT DO ANYTHING AND DONT CARE ABOUT ANYONE OR ANYTHING MY 86 YEAR OLD GRANDMA WENT WITH OUT HER BENEFITS FOR 2 MONTHS BECAUSE THEY SAID SHE DISNT HAND GER PAPERWORK IN I HAD THE RECIPE THAT SHE DID BC I WAS THE ONE WHO DROPED IT IFF FOR HER THEY LOST HER PAPERWORK AND SAID IT WAS HER FALT SHE DIDBT GET HER BENEFITS SO I HEPLED HER SING BACK UP AGAIN AND STILL IT TOOK ANOTHER MONTH FOR HER TO GET $52 WHY DID SHE SHE GO FROM $100 A MONTH TO $52 A MONTH NOONE AT DHS COULD TELL US WHY SO YES MY OPINION CLOSE THEM DOWN

They do not care about people's needs. Takes your stamps away and want to know who everyone is if you send or recieve money and no one there knows what they are doing. The most horrible government office in the state is DHS. Jefferson County is racist. If you do not look like them, good luck getting or keeping food stamps. Parking is never available. They never call or see you on time. Magically there is never a manager.

First off the DHS/Medicaid office is NOT at the old Sears building. It two blocks up, look for the former bank with the blue roof. It's clean inside and the ladies at the counter was helpful and polite.

Deny any help to people who need it. Keep asking for info on accounts or jobs, that no longer exist or work at due to a disability. Sent info many times to prove this and they still deny and ask for it. They also count money that was a loan and is being paid back.

Most pathetic excuse for an office! No one is ever on the same page and they do not know how to conduct family service. Everyone agrees to disagree on everything! Nothing gets done. No help for foster children at all. They don’t care as long as they don’t have to work. Staff is gone most of the time.

I’ve turn paperwork in almost 3 months ago and nothing has been done yet. Everytime I call it’s the same story. “It’s pending and it’s assigned to a caseworker.” If I didn’t need the assistance I wouldn’t waste my time doing the paperwork. They are slow and they help who they want to help

If I allowed myself to be upset by the poor customer service then I would be just as miserable as the workers. People should choose jobs that make them happy instead of making other people feel less just by coming in. Maybe something is going on at their home but that’s no excuse for bringing negativity into the workplace.
