When my spouse and I scheduled a consultation with Steven Flaxman to discuss how we can deal with our especially rapacious and incompetent landlord, we were initially skeptical that a positive outcome may be reached. Our experience as tenants in CO has taught us that, in practice, the law almost always sides with landlords, and many lawyers represent almost exclusively landlords since they're the more lucrative side to represent.

Steven defied our expectations. He reviewed our lease, our text and email logs, and photos, and then he spent an hour on the phone with us outlining our legal options. Throughout this process he was extremely prompt, compassionate, responsive, and patient. He went the extra mile to proofread our email to the landlord and answered our follow-up questions. As a result, we were able to get out of the awful lease much quicker than we would otherwise, and the amount of money we saved as a direct consequence of Steven's consultation covered Steven's fee more that four-fold.
