Great alternative to Slide Rock state park (probably better). The trail down to the creek has many boulders and rocks ? in between. Could be somewhat challenging if you don’t have the right shoes or knee strength but nothing intense. Once you reach the creek it’s bliss and there are plenty of rocks to sit and relax and also take a dip in the water. Absolutely recommended!!

This place was fun. I advise you to get there really early because there isn't much parking. Parking was $12, which isn't bad. Please, if you come here, pick up your trash when you leave to keep this place clean. You can jump from the big rocks. Just be careful. You don't hit the rocks by the wall. Watch out because there are brown spiders on the rocks, so shake your things before you get back into your car so you don't take them with you. The water is clear but cold, so go on a hot day.

If you don't want to wait an hour to get into Slide Rock Park, this is a great alternative! Honestly, it might be better. Great spot that's only steps from the parking lot. Lots of trees for natural shade. Much safer in higher temps. It was 109 the day we went and it felt like San Diego next to the water and under the foliage. Love love love it here!

I went on a day trip with my friends and the place is beautiful!! Seems misleading because we read it was “extremely family friendly and an easy 5 minute walk.” It DEFINITELY isn’t a walk. I ended up falling on rock because I didn’t bring the right shoes and consequently injured my knee. (Partly my fault I know.) If you are not experienced walking on rocks/don’t have appropriate shoes, I wouldn’t recommend going. It is literally nothing but rocks the whole way down/even in the water. Definitely need some kind of hiking/water shoes. Bring towels or something to lay on because I’m not kidding when I say it’s nothing but rocks. It is very beautiful once you get down though! I probably wouldn’t go again.

Great spot to swim. There’s always a lot of people in the summer. If you’re tall i don’t recommend jumping off the point as you will probably hit the bottom. Otherwise it’s a cool place. It’s like $12 to enter a vehicle. Even if the sign says it’s full, you should pull up and ask if there’s space as vehicles leave all the time and they keep track of the number of spaces but leave the sign on the road. Also recommend wearing water shoes and bringing a portable chair.

Grasshopper Point was absolutely beautiful! After a short walk, we made it to the river, and let me tell you—the water was ice cold. Definitely recommend coming here after a hike because it’s the perfect way to cool down when you're overheated. Or, if you’re feeling brave, you can just dive right into the freezing mountain water. My daughter and I only managed to get halfway in (too cold for us!), but my husband went all in—absolute legend. We had a blast!

Short walk to the creek which was easy to maneuver until you got to the rocks right before the creek. Witnessed a few less steady individuals fall, be careful. Take a dip in the refreshing creek or grab a rock and sit under the many trees providing shade from the hot sun. The best part was watching people jumping off the cliffs, so brave and daring!
