I received a Subpoena for a divorce Trial addressed to my professional practice from this firm with a very short notice prior to the trial date. I was not a party to the divorce case this firm was handling. I made multiple attempts to inform this firm and the lawyer Raymond Haas that I knew neither of the parties in either a personal or professional capacity and that the subpoena must had been a mistake. Mr. Haas failed to acknowledge my rather reasonable objections. I was not being called upon as an expert witness (a role which I am familiar with) and which recompenses an expert for their time and testimony after reviewing a party's medical history. I was merely demanded to appear on a matter for two individuals whom I had never met. As a result of the complete lack of professionalism by Mr. Haas, I was forced to appear and sit idle for over six hours on Zoom, while patients with very real and pressing medical needs all had to be rescheduled and my business and staff all had to make accommodations for a lawsuit in which I had no business being summoned for. Not surprisingly, I was never called by the bailiff to present testimony on the case. My time, my patients' time, my staff's time, and my business' reputation were harmed by this firm's complete failure to do their due diligence and LISTEN when a person tells them that they have nothing to do with the parties. No patients deserve to lose precious medical consultations due to this kind of unethical behavior. It is a waste of resources and time. If this is a tactic used by the firm to intimidate the other party in divorce matters (summoning completely unrelated medical professionals), then I would be happy to report it to the Florida Bar for further investigation.

HD Law has handled several suits for me. Ray Haas has been personally involved in all my cases whether it was just a letter to a full on suit. They are professional, knowledgeable and courteous. Phone calls and/or questions are taken care of promptly. They strive to make sure you are happy with the outcome.

My wife and I received a subpoena for a court hearing via zoom. We took this very seriously and on the appointed date and time, we find out (after desperately calling the office) that the hearing was rescheduled 3 months out. It sounds very shallow that whilst the subpoena puts an onerous obligation on the receiver to attend or face contempt of court but yet the law firm takes no measures to communicate any change to us. This is a poor show of professionalism on HD Law’s part.
