I have had four patents issued since the 1980's. For each I used a different patent attorney. For the first three I was living on the east coast. In each case I used a law firm run by a solo practitioner. The last attorney I used in San Diego had since retired. I have a great dislike for big law firms. They are all about billable hours and their service and fees often do not translate to value or, necessarily, perfect work product.

I found IP TECH PROS on an internet search. I engaged with them and found them to be very personable and knowledgeable. My patent was not straightforward and they were extremely accommodating and patient, working with me until I felt that we had got it right.

I am somewhat reluctant to address the issue of fees but I do wish to make a point: it is generally not a good idea, when seeking professional services, to make modest fees a priority. However in San Diego, with all the biotech, many firms are charging in excess of $500/hour and, as intimated above, the value is generally not tangible. I found IP TECH PROS fees to be quite reasonable.

There is no doubt in my mind that with IP TECH PROS I got some of the best value available. I also got a finalized patent application that, I believe, served my invention very well. I will most definitely use them again.
