We have used Baur for Estate and Business legal a few times, happy every time. I wish they had a larger portfolio of services. Would recommend if in the area and looking.

My husband contacted this office via email after being given their information through AARAG which is a benefit we pay for through my husbands work. With him being the only attorney in our network. Nick stated he does not handle civil cases even though it states on the website he does and is listed in aarag system as taking these cases. He stated we live to far away from him and travel expenses would be to much, even though Sarah covers those expenses. I could understand if you are stating you are too far away, however you should not be listed in the system as wanting to take cases if you do not. He then goes on to tell me the amount we are siring for is not a significant amount. Almost $3000. That’s pretty significant to us. After being scammed and finding out the person has a history of it and us wanting to do something about it and sue nick was just not willing to help in any way. He just plain and bluntly said no you are too far from me, even though we are only about 35 miles away, the amount is not significant, and that he had another call coming in and he hung up. Stated that it is an AARAG ISSUE THAT HE WAS LISTED FOR US. Would definitely not suggest this office. Just plain out rude and gave the it’s not my fault attitude. I was trying to ask him a question and he said “listen I can’t help you or take your case and I have another call to take” and hung up. If you do not want to help people then why are you an attorney? Probably for money and money alone. If my case was for $20000 or $50000 you probably would have taken it though. Horrible ethics and practice.

Jawn Bauer is by far the best attorney to work with in southern Indiana. We live over an hour away but will continue to take our business to him. The first time I reached out, Karen (his assistant) made me feel like I had known them for years. I was able to do a lot through email and Jawn was always just a phone call away. I honestly felt (and continue to feel) like they genuinely cared about me and the outcome of my requests. I’m so grateful for the two of them and would recommend them to anyone!

We went to Jawn for our adoption but he gave us bad information halting the process which lead to us missing the first few weeks of our baby's life. His office was also unresponsive to our questions. They maybe be helpful in other circumstances but don't use them for adoption.
