Lack of communication and professional courtesy.

I worked with Sean Kelley’s law firm several years ago. I called to make changes in a trust. I called 3 days in a row, asking for a return call from his office. After some research, I including trying the number from a new website, which has been disconnected. In frustration and confusion, the last day I left a VM on the old number, paraphrasing:

The firm, IF still active, should show professional courtesy to either; indicate the firm is no longer available for business/moved out of the area, OR call and inform a client request that:
1- Regretfully, we need to make you aware that the Kelley Law firm’s focus is no longer in estate planning for individuals;
2- However, we want to recognize the value of being a client and appreciate your reaching out to us to continue to manage your trust;
3- And in that context, we have 2 or 3 firms in the area we suggest you look into that may fit your individual needs.

Or, have a taped message, indicating the business is no longer active or moved out of town/state. Either way, what I experienced is a poor level of professional communication. Seriously, how hard and how long would that take to share message on an answering service or a phone call explaining the changes, whatever they might be?
