Despite what I’ve heard from others, my experience was less than par. After interviewing multiple attorneys for my divorce I selected David’s office. A big reason was because they were relentless in getting me to sign and pay the retainer. I figured that kind of tenacity would benefit me as a client. They got my case filed quickly and support began sooner than I expected.

Unfortunately the experience peaked there. After that I didn’t hear much for months and months. The primary reason I wanted to use an attorney is to make sure I maintained full ownership of the house I bought before marriage. I was charged over 2k for a boilerplate agreement WHICH DIDN’T LIST MY HOUSE AS SEPARATE PROPERTY. Months and months later I get a call about bills I haven’t paid and also they scheduled me for mediation for 9am the following morning with zero communication to me because ‘their email server had issues’. Guess they never make calls in the office until there’s no time left? So I went months without getting bills or updates or being told of my mediation. All of which needed to be paid for immediately. I was far from pleased about the last minute notice. The secretary (because Lisa was perpetually out of the office) informed me multiple clients had missed important court dates for the same reason. Looking over the bills I found some double charges. When I sent them back to Lisa she was quick to correct them but interestingly, it was always the higher amount that was the ‘correct’ charge.

David calls back all huffy & puffy and in defensive bully mode over his offices repeated failures. I pay the fees and we rescheduled the mediation. During mediation he asks for such ridiculous things that my ex shuts it down immediately. Another $500+ completely wasted. I decide I’m not going to continue to pay for non-service, let him drop my case, and handle the rest myself. My ex agreed to everything I asked for, which David said would be impossible?, and we finished the divorce in my favor.

Months later I’m getting interoffice emails from partners in the office. Nice to see they are still struggling with understanding their email systems.

Overall, I’ve never paid more to receive less. They were incompetent, careless, rude and not effective at all. They added more stress to an already stressful process. Would not recommend.

David was a good choice as a lawyer for child custody and support, I mostly chose him based off of the reviews online and also the free consultation which allowed me to know whether he would be the right fit for my case. He was a great negotiator with all the terms and the information and concerns I provided and Lisa was especially great at responding to any questions I had. The retainer fee, while a good amount to pay upfront, covered the whole process and was definitely worth the quality! I am very satisfied with the outcome of my case thanks to his office's help and if any problems should arise in the future I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again

My original court order was from another state and needed to be transferred to Texas and modified. Our previous court experience was quite contentious and I was very concerned that would be the case again.

David and Lisa were fantastic, thorough, and tremendously helpful at helping understanding the differences between the state I had been in and what I could expect in Texas. I felt comfortable with their advice and that I was making making sound decisions in the modification.

Ultimately, he found creative ways to help me get what I wanted without giving up the terms that were most important to me, which is truly all that matters in the long run.

As with my previous case, I made the decision to hire David because of his willingness to listen to my story and what was important to me before telling me what I should do or how we should proceed.

I found David to be firm, but consistent, and very much appreciated his approach to my case with me and opposing counsel. Should I need further legal assistance in my case, I would not hesitate to hire him again.
