So hauser represented me on a receiving stolen property case and I'm now a felon because he told me I would do 7 yrs upstate if I didn't plead guilty. The statue for RSP specifically says that I would have no intent to return the car (which was the RSP item) and he never asked me about my intent or anything. The car wasn't even stolen I had permission to use it. The statue says "intentionally recieve, keep or dispose of another person's movable property, know the property is stolen, believe the property is probably stolen and the EXCEPTION OF THE STATUTE IS IF THE PERSON INTENDS TO RETURN THE PROPERTY TO THE OWNER.
I had txts saying I could use the car, I had been using said car for months with no issue and the guy got mad cause I started seeing another guy so he reported it stolen and never told me. And I was not dating said guy either I was just living with him, but he got jealous. Hauser told me to plead guilty or I'd do 7 yrs upstate. I was never read the statute. And also he told me that being an addict at the time "undermines" my intent because "all addicts steal and that's a fact" he actually really said that. As someone that has come so far and has dug their way out of addiction and is now trying to pursue a law degree I now know how badly I got screwed over. And he denies all of it and takes no accountability. He even admitted he doesn't remember my case. He doesn't care about he clients obviously. Most people are proud of me yet he said "call whoever you have to but don't call me again" he's so rude it's ridiculous. Anyways. End rant. I could go on forever.
