Do yourself a favor and retain Michael Kuldiner early. Your representation matters.

Before retaining Michael, it became clear to me that opposing counsel in my divorce had no problem bleeding his client dry through a constant exchange of emotionally charged, accusatory emails rather than putting forth a realistic effort towards settlement. If your attorney doesn't nip this in the bud, it will cost you too. There's nothing worse than feeling powerless when your case is stalled and the only activity is irrelevant emails being sent back and forth.

After retaining Michael - two and a half years into an unnecessarily polemic divorce - the tables began to turn in my favor. He's the person you want fighting for you.

From my experience alone, you need an attorney who: (a) knows the law - to advise without setting false expectations; (b) shuts down any nonsense - to keep loopholes and petty stuff to a minimum; and (c) is a beast of a trial attorney - to win when you're dragged into litigation against your will.

Michael can and will do all of this. My only regret is that I failed to retain his office from the beginning.
