I have reached out to this organization for guidance more times than I can remember. I have emailed them, but I have received no response. I also called, but no one answered. However, there is a section on their website for donations; I believe there might be a specific way they will contact you through that.

This "legal aid" should be thoroughly examined and removed from their business practices.

This place is a joke, you can’t just walk in, you have to make an appointment to even be able to talk to someone about what legal issues you’re dealing with, but you only get an appointment if you qualify for the services and then when they call you back they just try to refer you out to other attorneys. Basically pointless and incredibly stupid process.

Given that your funding comes from donors—including government, corporate, and private foundations—it is essential that the individual at the front desk or answering calls is well-trained in professional communication. The receptionist’s rudeness during our call left a deeply negative impression, undermining the association’s credibility and commitment to serving the community. Consider assigning this role to someone more suitable, as their conduct risks tarnishing your reputation and misrepresenting your mission.

Literally never had an experience like this ever in my LIFE. I was helping my DEAF mother and she was a bit anxious because she’s deaf she wasn’t able to answer. Well on her day off I called they told me they would give me a call at around 1:30, at about 3 pm I made 3 calls. At maybe 3:30-4:00 I get a call from supposedly the lawyer on my mothers case telling me “stop calling you’re causing a disturbance”. Why would nobody tell me before not to call and that yall would call me by end of day. How would I know I’m disturbing if nobody said a word Passive aggressive behavior isn’t clear communication. If someone would have clearly communicated to me not to call the number provided I wouldn’t have become a disturbance int he FIRST PLACE. Then the lawyer on the phone continues to be condescending and talking to me in a rude tone. SORRY humans make mistakes what else did y’all want from me ?
People come here FOR HELP AND THIS IS HOW YALL TREAT PEOPLE? I had so much rage. You guys BULLY people because you can

Sara was really sweet and helpful! Even though I called a few times about the same thing she still remained professional and understanding! After trying to get in touch with Brevard County, I was glad to actually hear a voice at the end of the phone. Although they could not help me she did provide resources for me to contact! They are a hot mess and super rude. The people that call this number are going through real issues, the last thing they need are rude employees making their day worst. They’ll make you sit through their terrible attitudes and then provide ZERO assistance whatsoever.
I scheduled an appointment yesterday to speak with an employee today at 2pm. Not only did they not call me nor pick up my calls but they also told me that there was no appointment scheduled for today. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THEY’VE DONE THIS!!
