Terrible, terrible, terrible. Impossible to pay two service bills, garbage and sewage, online. Requires two login accounts. However, when you create two, only one will work. Can't change password. Won't verify email. Calling the office was no help at all. No technical assistance. She said it was my computer, not their system. We have no choice but to pay by mail. ARGH! Extremely poor website and it has the nerve to charge $1.55 to pay a bill online. Archaic!!! But it is a municipal service, so we we have no other recourse than to use it.

Turned down 500 dollars government help and doubled my bill from 267 to 613 dollars even after it was turned off I'm am now paying a 730 dollar bill now community needs to start a petition and get signatures very bad business

I had called yesterday to have a bill corrected that PA Amer Water had really messed up and was finally resolved with them. I spoke with Carly at Legal Tax Service regarding the sewer bill that coincided with the messed up water bill, and gave her all the info of what had happened and why. She asked if she could call me back after she read all the notes on the account. (I had called previously to let them know what was going on with PA Amer Water and to let them know a complaint was filed with the PUC on the water company)She called me back in a timely manner and had resolved the issue immediately. I can't thank her enough.

This company is incredibly untrustworthy and they will screw you over. Do yourself a favor and record any conversations you have over the phone with them. Keep all receipts and track your payments very carefully to make sure they actually deposit your check. They will not acknowledge their own mistakes. Makes no sense that someone would pre-pay for an upcoming year instead of paying for the prior years that was still owed! But this is how they charge you extra fees because of course there’s no way to actually track your bill or payments online. And then they’ll accuse you of just not wanting to pay your bill when you literally tried to pay your bill but they failed to apply it to the proper year!

This is the worst company in the history of companies. Matt the, 'manager' shouldn't be one. Talks over customers, makes them feel as though they're inferior because of past due notices. Refuses to accommodate in anyway other than advising to walk into the office. I mentioned filing a complaint and the woman answering the phone laughed and said, "with who". Manager also mentioned the only reason for one star reviews given is due to people who haven't paid their bill and have shut off notices. Manager made remarks I've had 45 days to pay my bill which is plenty of time to have went online and paid by now. Also stated, I'm only appearing like an idiot as thats how I'm making myself appear. Do yourself a favor and avoid this business .you're doing yourself a great disservice dealing with them in ANYWAY!!!!!! No empathy, no kindness, no professionalism. Not willingly to advocate and help customers make things simple in an already challenging time. Not empowered to help or they don't want to.

This “business” is the epitome of a joke. The secretary was condescending and unprofessional. The paralegal had no clue what she was talking about and kept deflecting my questions. I asked to speak with an actual attorney and apparently “he’s out of the office for the entire week.” I’m sure they’re the public defenders of their practice anyway…. They just now sent me a notice of delinquent taxes back from 2020. I had no clue it wasn’t paid bc the notices were all sent to the wrong address and we own numerous properties in multiple states, With all the fees and extra charges it’s now 3x the amount of the original tax amount since they waited 3 years to send me a certified letter. I even tried to settle and pay it in full but they weren’t willing to wave any of the ridiculous fees. This place is a scam and should definitely have less than a 1.7. Honestly if I had the time I would hire an attorney and willingly pay much more money just to fight this simply for principal. I’ll give you parasites the little peanuts you need to keep this scam of a business going….

They don't work with you if they mess up anything. Received 3 different bills, first and second shut off notice, all within 4 days, and all they said was "yeah, we've been having issues with our mailing". I've had issues ever since I've moved to West Mifflin.

Like other reviews my troubles started when this service took over sewage for certain boros in the south hills area. They did the $1700 trick to us and we had to scrape together money to pay it or face not having water.

A year ago a house on our street foreclosed, since then it has sat empty. Now they say because of that property EVERYONE on our street owes $290. Gave us a “48” hour notice on a Thursday morning? No one works there on Saturday/Sunday and service will be shutoff by Monday morning. So LESS THAN 24 hour notice. NO payment plans accepted! PA American Water did nothing to help but are more than willing to shut our water off if Legal Tax Service says so.

THEY ARE PREDATORY and will find a way to screw you over because no one with power will stop them. And what’s worse is you have no choice if you want running water in your house.
