I had my initial consultation over the phone with Miss Daniel she asked me what things I find important in an attorney. I answered 1. knowledge 2. sincerity and
3. accessibility. And then I went on to describe what I thought was a fairly unique position I’m in and she said oh we handled someone in that same position to three weeks ago. We then discussed where my position could evolve into and she said, that can be certainly more complicated but we just did one of those about seven months ago. She seemed very knowledgeable and instilled a lot of confidence in her knowledge and abilities . As I started to complete my paperwork I was handed over to Deborah Birch Who may be a junior lawyer or a paralegal.
Deborah was awesome. She was Johnny on the spot with the paperwork. If I didn’t understand something Deborah was there to explain it to me. It was very comforting knowing that I could send an email and usually that day but no longer than 24 hours and I would receive a response that I can understand. The whole team works well together and the client is the main beneficiary of their individual expertise and experience. What more could you ask for in a Law firm. I had originally conducted my first call/interview and spoke with Ms Daniels. She asked me what qualities I find important in an attorney. I stated.1. Knowledge 2. Sincerity and 3 Accessibility.
I must say, my situation was what I thought unusual and I was very nervous. In our first consultation I told Miss Daniels my situation, and she said, oh yes, we did one of those a couple months ago. We then discuss other situation that mine could evolve into and she said those are more complicated but I did one of those about seven months ago. She really instilled confidence, and I have a sense that she was very good at what she does. After the initial telephone meeting with Miss Daniels, I was handed over to Deborah Burch. I believe the paralegal or perhaps a junior attorney. Deborah was awesome! She was Johnny on the spot with all paperwork, she told me exactly what I needed to do, and explain things to me when I had questions. It was a great comfort knowing that when I sent an email I can count on a response usually within the same day no later than 24 hours. Everyone I had dealings with was fair, sincere and very well qualified to help me. I would recommend this practice to anyone going through some tough family times. This is going to be a lengthy review, but hopefully it helps you make a decision on a lawyer that meets your needs. My lawyer was Leigh Daniel and I hired her to represent my divorce (without children) case, and this review will include the following: Outcome of My Case, Professionalism, Response Time, and How Much It Cost.

Outcome of my case:

I researched a lot before hiring a lawyer, and to be honest, I was unsure of the outcome and wanted realistic expectations. Leigh was exceptional in guiding me through the process, clarifying my case, and alleviating my anxiety. We achieved precisely what I wanted from my divorce and more.

Professionalism:

Whether interacting with the billing office, Haley (the legal assistant handling my case), or Leigh herself, each demonstrated outstanding courtesy and respect. They promptly addressed any issues I had regarding my case, necessary documents, or payments. My documents consistently arrived on schedule to the opposing attorney, and Leigh arrived early and well-prepared for my trial.

Response time:

My case spanned two years from beginning to end. If I had a question about something, it was answered by Haley or Leigh within a few hours or next day. I hired a lawyer before coming to Leigh for help and it would take weeks to receive a reply to a question. Given my commitments in medical school at the time, their swift responses were more than helpful. I've had a few post-trial questions which received the same prompt attention, without additional charges

Cost:

This is the only thing I was not a fan of, but I am realistic and know that I am paying for experience, things going on behind-the-scenes that I don't know about/see, and an extensive breadth of knowledge. My previous lawyer cost half, but he wanted me to do most of the leg-work, showed up to my mediation late, and unaware of what was going on. In hindsight, you get what you pay for and I would do it again if given the same opportunity.
