We had an issue with a fraudulent $60k lien being placed on my in-laws property. We reached out to several referral's for an attorney. Everyone refused to take the case, and one even said, “Good luck!, it’s hard to remove a lien!” We called the last name on our list. We received his info from another firm. I called Bruce Gomez and to our relief, he said I can help you, come in tomorrow for your consultation. We met with him and were very impressed. He was knowledgeable and laid out the approach we were going to take and even had a plan b and plan c if needed. A weight was listed from my mother-in-law’s shoulders from one consultation.

Mr Gomez was organized and kept us informed throughout the process. He was able to get the lien removed within one month. That was something we tried to do on our own for over two years. Fees were extremely reasonable and so much less than we expected.

Another disappointment in El Paso. I went there for home buying contract review. As one of the few real estate attorneys in El Paso I was appalled when he turned my case down because he was not knowledgeable about a specific type of real estate purchase contract law. I may be wrong but I honestly feel like he should have just refunded my consultation fee; which he did not. Furthermore, he sent me a list of 5 referrals of which half were not even real estate lawyers. While Ibappreciate him telling me up front that he knew of (had dealt with) the other party in another case where someone was sueing that person, I felt like he was partial towards that person, kept telling me that the person had done nothing wrong. So I pointed out and stated specifically, the state of TX code and regulations that the seller had violated. He just told me he would research the laws and let me know within 25 hours whether or not he would take the case. By the time I got home and opened my email, I found his case rejection letter that was sent about 15 minutes after I left his office. No research was done. I am not sure why this attorney did not try to help me and flat out refused and looked annoyed or aggravated by my mere presence but discrimination is widespread even in which law suits to one will take and in El Paso where about 99% of the population are minorities but still there is intra-discrimination...for equitable treatment you have to be "their kind of minority".
