Back in September of 2020 I was brought up on DV and like 6 other charges stemming from a woman who has severe mental issues, a horrible drinking problem, and took enough prescription meds to kill a horse. After representing myself for my first court appearance I decided I had better get someone who knows the laws and procedures. I had used Ted before on a case back in 2010, so i knew exactly who to call when I needed someone who knew the law and procedure. I hired Ted and he was available to represent me in court the next day. With this case we rode a roller coaster of Bullsh*t from the DA's office we went from a misdemeanor on day 1 to being charged with a felony a year into the process. I don't remember how many court appearances I made throughout this process (there was A LOT of them) but felony or misdemeanor Ted was by my side through it all. The DA kept trying to get us to take a plea agreement but we stuck to our guns that innocent people don't take plea agreements. Besides the fact that I was innocent the DA didn't have a case in anyway shape or form and we continued to push for a trial. In September of 2023 the DA dismissed the felony charges they had on me dropping my case out of district court and sent it back down to county court where it all started. Finally December 2023 over 3 years since the case started the DA finally dismissed the remaining charges. Ted and Richard were there for me the whole time Ted had to come from Colorado Springs to Cañon City many many times to represent me. The McClintock Law Firm was the only positive experience I had throughout this process very knowledgeable in the law and court room procedures. Would absolutely hiring again if faced with the same situation.
