I had Matthew represent a family member for a civil litigation case and he was outstanding.

He was quick to respond to emails, always direct and efficient, which saved us both time. Additionally, he was friendly and dedicated to resolving the issue at hand.

Matthew was upfront about the billing process from the start, and when the matter was resolved, he provided a detailed breakdown of billable hours. His efficiency even led to a refund of part of the initial retainer.

Overall, I'm thrilled with the service. I highly recommend Matthew and Myers LLP.

Dealt with Justin Kusyk for my separation/divorce. He is amazing and recommend him to my family and friends. He is always available, great communication, honest and genuinely cared about my situation. I never had to speak to an assistant or legal aid. I can't thank this firm enough! My ex wife caused a lot of problems with custody of my children, filed and was successful with a bogus restraining order (to get revenge on me), tried to wring me dry of money she did not deserve (pay for all her loans and student loans) and requested out of the ordinary schedules for the shared custody of my two kids (example: she gets them on their birthdays every year). Justin helped me through thick and thin, had my back the whole time and was very timely with completing and sending documentation to the opposing lawyer. The only things I lost were my pension (can't fight that) and my dog, they're considered "property" (what a joke). I did not have to go to court. I got exactly what I wanted. I never want to go through a divorce again but if I do I'll definitely contact this firm (lol). Thank you and my children thank you.

This is a horrible law firm to choose when dealing with child custody, and child support issues. Doug Johnston should not be allowed to practice law. He is so extremely unethical that it almost seems surreal. He makes "mistakes" purposely, then pretends to be "out of town" until the day after the allowable days to "fix" omissions and errors, and wants more money to "fix" these "errors". He makes "deals" behind your back with the the other lawyer on things no one would ever agree to. He drafts orders and files them without telling you until after, and even then he sends you the paperwork purposely missing pages. He charged double what he said it was going to cost. He made a mess of our family law situation to the detriment of our children. What should have been a simple case to prove against an unreasonable, alienating co-parent with an enormous amount of evidence proving this, turned into a nightmare. I didn't want to give even 1 star but I had to in order to post this.

Writing on behalf of my in-laws. They were treated very poorly. They had been using this law firm for years. After their lawyer retired, they called to update their wills. They were told that there was no record of them on their files. They were even asked if they paid their last bill. They were told that they would be given their old lawyer's contact info just in case he had their files at his home and they were never called back. They will be taking their business elsewhere.

Do not use them for anything related to property and Land titles, did not give a good explanation to the clients, so for 5 years, 3 people didn't realize who actually owned a property. What they did was ok but not the best option, and the real issue was mostly the lack of educating clients on such important matters, failing to make sure all parties understood what they signed.

I was a place of Honour when Len Weinberg was there. I have dealt with three lawyers there recently and I'm very disappointed. It's like their capabilities are limited. Junior staff lack experience. I am slowly moving my business to another firm.

I've worked with Andrew Torbiak for my mom's Estate and his advice was clear, keeping everything moving in a positive direction. His work with in the senior's community through Age and Opportunity is commendable.
