I was initially referred to Billie Jo hopwood on a semi-urgent basis for what turned out to be a high conflict and prolonged divorce which Ms hopwood turned out to be ill equiped to deal with.     I warned her we were dealing with a pathological narcissist. Despite this, she advised mediation and indicated to me that timesharing would be enforced by the courts.

After the initial mediation where she allowed me to get only 25% custody and exclusive use, she convinced me to sign a HORRIBLE mediation agreement with the argument that I would get to see my children a guaranteed 2 nights a week and that we could hold my STBX in contempt for not timesharing.    The STBX got exclusive use and Ms hopwood did not explain the ramifications of how exclusive use would screw me out of timesharing, as exclusive use is enforced by the cops, but timeharing is not, nor did she follow through with the judge to get hearings on the schedule to get my timesharing enforced.

Awful lawyer for dealing with any type of high conflict divorce or with a toxic STBX.     Probably fine for a softball, rubber stamp divorce.   Apparently Ms hopwood left the firm as she decided to take herself off my case because it was too difficult and she was just mailing it in.

After my experience with Ms hopwood who decided to take my money and sign off my case, I was handed over to Tiffani Cole who supposedly handles the "high conflict cases."    The only thing Ms Cole and her paralegal were effective at was helping the other side and keeping me in compliance with my financial affidavit while my STBX ex hired a real shyster who apparently didn't make her comply with anything at all which I found out after I was able to retain an attorney that actually cared about my high-conflict divorce where my children were being kept away from me.  When I brought up my concerns regarding my ex's probable lack of compliance with the financial affidavit and discovery, she told me "we are focusing on your kids, ok?".   Often she was too busy to communicate with me as she was in trial often.

I eventually was able to find a competent, caring attorney in town who is responsive and actually is concerned about my case, which is harder as a father as the family courts in Brevard County continue to heavily favor the mother, esp when it comes to enforcement of timesharing violations.

In summary, either is probably fine for a simple uncomplicated divorce, but neither truly seems passionate or interested in their profession and if you are looking for an aggressive shark or someone who will hold the other side accountable and keep them on their toes, Mrs Cole and Ms hopwood are not the ones you are going to want to retain

I would never give my money to this group of attorneys again. I am planning on making a formal complaint to the bar. Ive been waiting for my divorce for over two years and they keep charging for doing nothing. Worse experience i have ever had so ladies and gentlemen if u want a quick divorce this is not a good place to go to for that service
