Bidding on several items with a closing date and do to weather they extended the auction another week .If you post a closing date that should be the ending date and not extend it . If weather is bad you extend the pick up date. Really shady business.

Whitley Auction handled my parent's estate sale recently. After interviewing a number of companies, I felt they provided the coverage and expertise needed to handle the sale (as I am located in another state and needed someone to be completely hands on locally). They did an outstanding job . . . professional, respectful, knowledgeable. . . . no complaints whatsoever. They even took it upon themselves to call me because the furnace was not functioning correctly! So, not only did they sell 99% of the items, they saved me a possible frozen pipe catastrophe!!
My only recommendation would be to offer a brief instruction video how to bid on an item as a lot of friends/ family had to go thru a learning curve how to bid. Aside from that, I would recommend them to anyone considering an online auction venue for selling their items.

Friendly people, interesting items.
I don't like the auction listings that charge you for each item in the lot, but you can't take less than all of them in the lot. I find this misleading and just a very strange way to list items. I'm sure many bidders are duped by this practice.

I recently consigned several items from an estate into an auction being held by RMEB. They took the time to organize the items and present them very accurately to the public. Because the descriptions and photos were professional I believe the buyers found comfort in knowing they were bidding fair market value. The auction was a tremendous success. Buyers were happy and as the Personal Representative of the Estate I am very pleased that I can share with complete confidence (with the heirs of the estate) that the items were very well marketed. At the conclusion of the auction, all items were picked up by happy buyers and a check was written in full to the estate. The world would be a better place if all businesses treated their customers and clients the way we were treated.
