My cousin hired Mr. Rosales during the process of his divorce. They worked amicably together for approximately 1 year until Mr. Rosales abruptly ended their contract about 1 month prior to the final divorce hearing. My cousin had paid him over $20,000 over the course of the year and was left without a lawyer during his final hearing.

At the beginning of their time working together Mr. Rosales suggested to my cousin that they should prolong the case as this may benefit my cousin as it would give his future ex wife more time to make mistakes that might allow my cousin to gain more money or higher percent custody over their child. We now suspect Mr. Rosales suggested this in order to get more money from my cousin.

I attended a meeting with Mr. Rosales and my cousin to voice a concern I had about the safety of my cousins child. At that time, my cousin had been working with Mr. Rosales for many months and had submitted evidence to him, which it was clear he had not reviewed. We asked him if he saw this evidence to which he responded, “well I charge to look at evidence.” We had paid him thousands of dollars by this point and he had clearly not reviewed the evidence.

Every time my cousin met with Mr. Rosales there were new charges he was required to pay, it always seemed to range from $1000-$5000. There were 2 instances where my cousin had final hearings scheduled to complete the divorce and these hearings had to be rescheduled because Mr. Rosales was going out of town. This prolonged the case and cost thousands of dollars more.

Towards the end of their year working together, my cousin expressed to Mr. Rosales that he would like to complete the divorce as it was getting extremely expensive and stressful. He stated to Mr. Rosales that he was willing to continue to pay the fees he was requesting, but wanted the divorce completed. This was when Mr. Rosales abruptly ended their contract 1 month before the final court hearing. His reasoning for doing this was “to not financially burden my cousin any further.” My cousin did not have a lawyer represent him during his final court hearing and unfortunately the case went very poorly for my cousin.

My cousin who has been a loving father to his child since his child was born was granted 0% custody. My cousin who is a college educated male, is employed, and has given his child love his entire life had everything stolen from him. In addition to this, my cousin and his ex wife were both listed on the mortgage of their home and he will get 0% of what their home is going to sell for.

I do not recommend this lawyer to anyone that may be interested in hiring him.

In an unfortunate turn of events I lost one of my dream cars due to a tire blowing on the freeway. As a result, I was confronted with criticism for causing another accident I was not involved in.
