I hired her to help with enforcing two court ordered judgements and the past due arrearage of child support from the non custodial parent. Well she cancelled a court hearing I scheduled before I hired her without notifying me. I showed up to court only to find out that she decided to cancel the hearing that I had waited months to get two weeks prior to the the hearing. When I called to find out what happened she told me it was a scheduling conflict. In essence she prioritized something else at the last minute and failed to notify or discuss the cancellation with me. I paid a $2500 retainer in advance, she charges $250 an hour. She was non responsive for the first 2 1/2 months. Not returning calls rarely returning emails. Things began to escalate with my ex spouse and she actually started to communicate via text and email and a call here and there. What I didn’t realize is she used this opportunity to excessively charge my retainer. We had not made it to court and she sent me a bill that had exceeded my retainer by $679.00 due upon receipt. She then sent me a notice of intent to terminate my agreement if she did not receive payment in 10 days. I reviewed the invoice and found errors in large amounts where she over charged me by $500.00. She had several line items where she charged me different amounts for the same item. Ex. $50 to make a call to OC and leave a message. She charged me this at least 10 times. She also demanded payment of the $179 to continue. At the supp hearing she was ill prepared and non effective in getting me anything for my judgement even though she charged me to subpoena my ex’s employer for an interrogatory, bank statements, and financials. In court she only presented the hand written interrogatory. She never requested the bank statements or payment history so I got nothing. I then verbally terminated my agreement. When she refused to respond I again terminated the agreement via email. She finally replied telling me she needed permission from the court to be removed from my case. I told her again I no longer wanted her representation and she showed up at my child support hearing anyway and attempted to force herself into the court room. I had to advocate to the magistrate that she did not represent me and that I had let her go the week before. Roseann tried to hush me and even went so far as to tell this judge that only the other judge in the support case could release her. Well that was not true. I was able to get her removed but not before finding out that the contempt filing was never actually filed with the clerk. When I insisted there was a rule to show cause as to why he was not in contempt be considered because I had this document in my hand… that Roseann and I had signed … Roseann finally asked the judge if she could be excused to leave. This is because the motions she charged me for filing were never filed and she didn’t want the embarrassment of me knowing she had scammed me by excessively charging me for work she did not follow through on.

This is a warning to those shopping for divorce and child support lawyer… my experience was not so great… at consultation I was promised help with guiding me through child support modification and discussed she could do better than appointed cs caseworker. I was ignored after she got her retainer for weeks! and had to plead with her office to get back with me many times!

By the way you WILL be charged for any and all communications, even a simple reply to email or them emailing you. I was not told of this during consultation nor any updates on invoice. I was hit with a steep final billing. I didn’t hear from her until the night before my CS meeting, up until that point it was her paralegal. Half the time this paralegal had my case mixed up with another,

I was nickel and dimed … and this is my opinion,
she didn’t spend as much time as she claimed talking to other counsel, it does NOT add up for a basic cs case like mine with only needing to compute income updates getting opposing sides income and tax info updated.

She claims she spent billable hours, yes… HOURS discussing with opposing counsel. This is on top of the actual meeting that is minimum 2 hours at $250 per hour charge alone.

I was in dismay over the final outcome at meeting. When I questioned her at the child support meeting about her retainer spiel about doing more than the basic cs caseworker , she replied that there is nothing to go over, it’s set with income and a formula.

I feel like she pulled in easy money and mislead me. … my opinion is that she didn’t go over very much of this and acted confused about my case when she walked in (Late) and sat down with me for the cs meeting .

The results, all I got was what the county child support caseworker would have argued for me.
This seasoned lawyer knows how this works and should have been upfront with me after reviewing the info at the very beginning and saved me time and money, but we are dealing with the stereotype lawyer. Shame ….Instead I’m out $1500.00 and would like to warn everyone to steer clear. She did “generously” credit me back an hour so that means she actually charged me 1750.00 - that brought my total to $0 owed and nothing credited back…. Nice
This lawyer makes the fictional lawyer, Better Call Saul look like an Angel!
Avoid her, and may karma be served for what I feel is taking advantage of hard working people who need help.

I have proof of this if anyone from this law office posts a reply pulling anything saying they never heard of me.
