I was stranded a few miles outside of Selma on Friday afternoon after driving into town to work out in the country and my truck wouldn't start back up. I didn't know who to call so after calling around desperately trying to find someone to help me I called Selmont. The owner's son came to the phone, talked with me about my situation, and even left the shop to come try to help me without having to tow my truck. After checking things on my engine, going and getting a new part (starter), and installing it while laying on the ground under my truck on a 100° summer day, it still wouldn't start. So he had it towed to his shop after 5:00 on a Friday, locked it up inside so it would be safe overnight since it had all my tools, and took me to my hotel because I had no ride. He went back in to work on it early on Saturday morning (even though they're normally closed) and got it fixed/running, but only billed me a very reasonable labor charge after all that. He even came and picked me up from my hotel when my truck was ready since I had no ride to his shop. These were good people who went the extra mile to help someone from out of town stranded and in a bad situation. He not only went out of his way to help me, he could have charged me so much more labor time for everything he did, especially after hours on a weekend, and many people would have. If Selmont hadn't helped me I would have been panicking trying to find someone to help me either get it fixed or at least towed 170 miles home, and probably would have had a huge tow bill, as well as a wasted trip to Selma because I wouldn't have gotten any work done. Can't recommend Selmont Service Center and Joseph enough... good people!!
