This was my first time to tag along on a fishing charter. I’m so glad I did it. Had a fantastic day! Our guides were superb- friendly, knowledgeable , and patient with me the newbie. We caught our limit of halibut, king salmon, and rockfish then got to witness more whales than I’ve ever seen on tours before. I was also super impressed to have my processed fish personally delivered to my door the next morning. I can’t wait to join Sitka Fishing Excursions again on another trip.

I had a great trip with Captain Jackson. He was very friendly and Knowledgeable. He worked very hard trying to get us on fish. The boat was brand new and very well equipped. Nicki was also very helpful with the booking making it super easy. I would highly recommend Sitka Fishing Excursions to anyone looking to fish while in Sitka.

We went out early in the season. Capt. Jackson put us on the fish all day, king salmon, halibut and rockfish. We trolled, jigged and bait fished, all successfully.
The only "problem" was I actually had to take a break to rest my arm from all of the halibut I was hooking. A little embarrassing, but a great problem.
Professional, accommodating, knowledgeable with a great boat. I highly recommend.

Booked an early season trip while working in town and was beyond happy with the results. We were explained that being early season(half price btw) that results were not a guarantee which was fine. We went out with Jackson on his boat double down which probably the nicest fishing boat I've been on. Jackson is personable, down to earth, and knows how to put you on the fish. Went out early morning for king no luck, (which was expected) and by 9 am a short drive to catching double our limit in halibut (which is nice because we got to choose the best of the best to keep) about as fast as we could reel up from 400'. We then stopped by the next honeyhole to limit out on rock fish and finally out to catch 2 out of 4 king salmon limit to end the day. Jackson has it figured out, and will definitely be using him next time I'm in town. Thanks again for the awesome day!

This was a perfect Alaska fishing day with our family. We will have memories for a lifetime. The boat was parked right next to our cruise ship, and everything was ready to go for our family of six. Our captain was amazing! We all caught a king salmon and some halibut. My son caught a HUGE halibut that was over 100 pounds. Dreams came true that day. My girls had an amazing time, and the automatic reels made it easier for them to bring in those big old fish! We even saw whales while we were fishing. It was a beautiful day, and our freezer is full! Thanks for the 5-star experience!

These guys are awesome! I was in Sitka early in the season, so I wasn’t sure if I would be able to do any fishing but these guys made it happen. The captain and deckhand were super knowledgeable and friendly and we all caught our limit pretty early in the day so we even had time to do some whale watching! If you’re looking for a fun day on the water catching big fish, give them a call!

I had the incredible pleasure to join friends and go fishing with hands down the best charter boat captain in Sitka.
Jackson was so knowledgeable about individual fish and locations to drop our lines. His expertness was second only to the great care and encouragement he gave to us as novice fishermen. We loaded the boat with halibut, kings and rockfish for two days. One of the best experiences I’ve had in my life. Thank you Jackson and team.

This was my second trip to Sitka to fish and our first time fishing with Sitka Fishing Excursions. This family operated business is amazing.

Communicative, responsive, transparent and HARD WORKING.

They have the nicest boat in Sitka, which was perfect for my parents who have never been charter fishing before. The indoor heated cabin as well as the walk-around fishing deck was perfect for the 4 of us to maneuver about freely, take photos, and enjoy the catered lunch.

The boat captain was knowledgeable, friendly, sociable, attentive, and put us on the fish. We caught our limit throughout the day and they have an awesome, hassle-free connection to have your fish processed and delivered to you at the airport upon departure.

10/10, highly recommended, worth every penny. Don’t hesitate to book a charter with Sitka Fishing Excursions!

I will undoubtedly book with them again the next time I’m in Sitka!
