I originally engaged Mr. Westerfield to handle a debt that went to court. This was approximately 2 yrs ago. I was put on a payment plan with the understanding that a lien would not be put against my property. I was very clear explaining I wanted to make payments to avoid a lien. I think I would have remembered if I was told a lien would be placed anyway as I was trying at all costs to avoid that. Perhaps I misunderstood. Certainly possible.
However fast forward present the attorney handling the payments stopped cashing checks. Yes, I had missed a payment, but they always took a late payment. I tried calling the company who would not talk to me w/o Mr. Westerfield’s approval. I called two week straight begging for a call back because at that time I found out I had a lien on my property which I did not know about. Being distressed went to office in person and found
Mr. Westerfield in his office. I was told a letter would be sent out that afternoon. Again, I am calling 2 weeks later and driving over to find office closed. I can’t get a response. I paid this second time, and for services not rendered. I am out my money and still have no response.
I went to a lawyer for help and feel taken advantage of.

I would like to begin by saying thank you to Mr. Westerfield and his wonderful staff for guiding us through the financial process that we just finished. You were so knowledgable and kind to us. Melissa worked on our case and went above and beyond anything I could ever have hoped for! We are so very thankful.
I would highly recommend Steve Westerfield for any legal advice. He certainly knows the laws and works diligently to help his clients.

Mr. Westerfield has been my attorney for 18 years. He has helped me with a lot. Mr. Westerfield and his staff have always been nice, polite, respectful, understanding, and work with his clients one on one. I would recommend his ferm to anyone.

Steve handled a Custody Case for me. My case was trying to prove jurisdiction. I provided all pics of my daughter and myself here in Arkansas. Steve could of gotten Rental Records from Her landlord or anything to better my case but he didn't. He could have done so much more to get proof that my daughter resides here in Arkansas. On day of court steve was so not equipped to handle my case that the Judge Was yelling that this was the worst case he had ever seen and asked Steve if he had even met me before today. Steve yelled and got agrressive with my EX and the Judge threatened contempt of court. I was scared to even speak. My ex won the case and I lost my daughter and now have to get another Lawyer to try again. I only Paid Steve $750 and owed him another $1000. Good thing I didn't pay in full or else I would be screwed. I just talked to Steve and told him I feel like he owes me the $500 or at least half and he kept cutting me off and saying I'm not giving you back your money and he claimed he did alot on that case which he absolutely didn't and was a total embarrassment in court and I waisted all that money. I said man just be a good guy and do what's right and he told me no!!! So now I'm Posting this!!! Save your money and go somewhere else!!

We went in to meet with Steve the first time thinking we had no clue what we needed to do. He listened to our thoughts and concerns and then helped us make decisions that were best for our family. He walked us through paperwork, hearings, and all the things in between. His fee was reasonable and the consultation free.
