Clent was extremely rude to me and said I was challenging him when I merely asked if I was supposed to make an appointment for my paperwork being sent back.
Clent feels very comfortable being aggressive over the phone miles away and has some issues he needs to work out with his supervisor or in therapy.
I can't believe how I was spoken to, this type of thing would only happen over the phone and never in person. Some of the staff feel very bold over the phone and it's disgusting.

I wish this place would open back up I use to come here in person with the staff I can't speak for others but my experience was delighted. Each time which ever person would swing around to assist sometimes seem rude but I never took it personal i was never address in such but i would see how they were so out number with the amount of help. I remember a man use to always be there a woman short brown hair and another since this was back 2018 up until covid shut down doesn't seem get the same results or had i was greatful because they would look over it and really put foot forward even put input and really by the time you get into court your just speaking. I get people are trying to prompt other places etc. Self service and the knowledgeable staff I found it useful, helpful help change alot of things but now just seems like people give up on what's right for them you can tell who is not vs who is. Definitely do not have nothing bad to say experience though years gone by was alittle better than then what it seems now that's because everything over the phone or online(I think of hackers so I prefer in person safely). Wish that was one of things or places that didn't change library stay open figure wasn't many staff but it's important to give the real credit where it's due not anything other this self help center again from my own in the past was A1 and the results would follow right behind that.
Positive feed back when and if do open again hopefully have the same time of go getting amazing people if I remember time line earth was shaken but walking in that zone still getting assist with the kindness and good out weights the bad I can say each time and had few encounters each time went above and beyond there was a little square off room with computers where they would have someone in there who go to each desk check over work And the rolls would be flipped, so if you felt irritated or frustrated, they were there to reassure You that everything's gonna be okay?You're in good hands and that's when you seen them get down with it. I was total different person then so have do best can without those trying to take advantage they didn't need anything from anyone doesn't serve them anything they could get on their own. Plus it didn't matter how much you had to low cost no cost they were just there to offer and assist their serves and knowledge 💯.

These people are awesome. They have to deal with some of the most high strung people I have ever met but keep calm and professional. That coming from a person going through a divorce and and child custody/support case,😒😣😥 These people are awesome. Take a deep breath, relax, put you questions on paper first then see them. They're really helpful and can save you time and money. God bless 😇 🙏❣️

When your going through a difficult time there's nothing better than to feel that you have some level of support... I know this is going to sound strange however I felt a warmth of understanding from every that helped me with my paperwork... The truth is once you walk in the doors going through the metal detector the guards there are kind... I just thank everyone there for their kindness🌹🌷🌹

This place is helpful, but be prepared to go to the clinics and/or workshops to get ANYTHING done. I've gone in asking for what my next steps for my divorce are ( preparing my own no attorney) and wanted get the papers started but they wouldn't tell me and told me I have to go to the workshop/clinic to get it started. So go online before heading to the self help center to see what days they have the clinic and workshops. It takes a lot of time to make sure you fill out papers correctly and to make copies(not in the self help center), to get papers notorized, signed, and submitted.

The self help at 3535 10th St. was bitter sweet. First the security is wonderful. Very gentle and helpful lady. I visited at 9:15 am on Friday, Dec. 5,2019. The female at the front desk was absolutely HORRIBLE( I'm so sorry I didn't get her name. She wore glasses, hispanic, Brown teeth. She was rude, interruptive and sarcastic. She seemed to get her kicks from upsetting people. She offered the WRONG advice and her only option was to get rid of the citizen in need. I demanded to speak with the actual attorney who was so helpful. Her name is Alexandria. She not only listened but gave some wonderful options for me and assisted with the forms and proper wording.
If you have to visit "self help" please immediately ask from the lawyer on hand NOT the inconsiderate and unknowledgeable front desk clerk.

Every time I call, their self help line is too busy and does not even offer a call back by them. Or when I do speak to a person asking them what form do I fill out and sometime ask a question about filling out a form. The standard answer is always “we can’t give any legal advise….” How is it legal advise when I ask for a specific form? That is their job to guide me to a specific form for claim. It is not a legal advise if I just ask about clarification on a question on the form. They’re horrible like the DMV. If one does not have the answer, find it or ask someone who knows.

No one likes court stuff, but the staff is kind, courteous, and respectful. They have there hands tied as what they can or can not do, which can often lead to customer frustration but ultimately they truly give it their absolute best and make every effort to accommodate everyone's needs.
