After being referred by multiple adoption lawyers to Susan Levin, we engaged her and her team on an adoption process that would take us on a 5 yr, multi country endeavor. Susan’s knowledge of international adoption law and precedent setting adoption/ immigration laws as well as local in-country adoption rules and procedures was astounding. When faced with unique challenges her team researched the solutions and got us through it. All of this with the backdrop of our adoption country, Haiti, rapidly descending into utter chaos during a global pandemic. Susan and her team repeatedly expressed concern for our adopted children when strategizing next steps. When it was time to bring the kids home, Susan and her team immediately pivoted to an exit plan coordinating critical meetings with the embassy. Then Susan and her team set new precedent and were able to successfully move our case file from Haiti to another country to complete the process as it became impossible to return to Haiti safely. Now other families can complete their process in another country after starting in Haiti, all because of her team. As we began settling into our new lives we received a check from Susan and her team for unused $ during the process.

This lady is a fraud. Please be careful. Her only aim is to extract money. Our friends have a very complex case of which they were very honest upfront with her, she put them on a nice wild goose chase, collected consultation fees promising something different and finally embarked on the solution they had already told her was being considered. She was going to make them spend more and more but they decided to respectfully keep quiet. She is someone who truly fits the stay away from a lawyer analogy to the T. Please be careful, starting with consultation fees, she is out to scam you!!!!
