This is the man you want on your side when you go to court. Eric was with me for all the many tense and stressful hours during the mediation with the opposing counsel. This practice is horrible. I retained an attorney in this practice 6 years ago for divorce, and they dropped me in the middle of a very contentious period because my attorney was going on some kind of retreat or trip. This left me in a very challenging position when I needed an attorney the most. It was my understanding that they were paid in full, especially since they never sent/called any communication otherwise. I retained another lawyer and completed the divorce. Six years later, they have a collection agency going straight to court to garnish my pay. No communication, nothing. Just out of the blue wage garnishments. They state that I initially owed them $10,000, and are now garnishing $20,000. This is 2/3 my paycheck. I make less than $3,000/month to begin with and have worked so so hard to come out of an incredibly abusive marriage, and then a brain surgery, and am just getting to a place I can break even and look forward to life and saving money for the future. Now I can't pay my rent. I have to take further time off work to go to food pantries to make sure my child has food in the house. I'm bringing home $14/hour after taxes and this garnishment.

Whatever this practice says about caring for people, they certainly don't. They are a predatory business that has the legal power to do whatever they want at your expense, especially if, like me, you're not in a financial position to push back. I have no options and may be soon homeless with my child as a result of this predatory behavior.
