I had an awful experience with The Law Firm of Charles D. Jamieson. I only went to them because I was referred to Kenneth Gordon who used to have his own practice, but now works for this law firm. Ken seemed like a nice guy, so I still hired them for my divorce over the summer.

I told them numerous times that my Ex-Wife DID NOT want alimony, but they were insistent on billing out multiple hours to fight for the lowest alimony claim possible. While this could be to a clients advantage, in my case it was a huge disadvantage because my bill was quickly increasing for no reason. Additional, they charged me for everything—whether it was a text, phone call, or email. Even casual conversations were billed by the second. I was shocked they charged me to inquire about my job as a pilot, consisting of questions that didn’t apply to the court case at hand. I didn’t realize how extreme it was until I got my first bill, which included an overage for a conference call that barely went over 30 minutes, but I was charged for 36 minutes. I verified this by locating the phone call on my wireless phone bill. They also charged me for not only my lawyer at $400/hr. but also for them to “meet and discuss next steps” with Charles Jamieson at $600/hr…In all fairness they credited me for the 6 minute overage, but that instantly caused me not to trust their other charges for times that I could not witness or verify. These numbers could be, and probably are, very arbitrary.

This experience was incredibly frustrating and stressful, causing my blood pressure to spike on multiple occasions during phone calls with the office. I ultimately ended up switching to my wife’s lawyer to complete my divorce, which might be risky, but I knew our divorce was going to be amicable. I felt much more comfortable without representation, than using this firm.

Additionally, after deciding not to use this firm any longer, they NEVER sent a final bill, but instead put a lien on my house for the outstanding amount—which I paid immediately. I found this firm to be inflexible, irritating, and unprofessional, and I would not recommend them to anyone. I would leave zero stars in this review if I could.

If you want the run of the mill over priced law firm that will take you for all they can, then definitely hire The Law Firm of Charles D. Jamieson, P.A.

Words can’t explain months later been wanting to write this I also wrote to the Florida bar fee which did not did not give me reimbursed because of signed documents. Read your documents !! Jamison was on my case so exactly 30 days didn’t go to court once I was desperate for help . He got paid 9,000$ didn’t go to court not once and had the audacity to ask me for another 10,000$

This is devastating for anyone going through this in their life . They manipulated my situation told me I had to hire a lawyer otherwise I wasn’t going to get my child back . Lead me to think that hiring them was the only option I had for reuniting me with my daughter . Weight out your options before committing.

My lawyer Kenneth Gordon and his paralegal Wendy Jean-Baptiste were the best , they worked very hard on my divorce to get me what I wanted they were always quick to respond to my emails and helped me with all my paperwork. They are very pricey but worth the money. I would definitely recommend this office.

I chose the Law firm of jamieson because of their great rating, and they definitely lived up to that. Mr. Erskine Rogers and assistant Mr. Lopez personally represented me. As the case went on it got more and more complicated. They assured me that there's nothing to worry about. They stayed on top of everything and showed amazing tactics.
